someone off here wrote a great few paragraphs comparing the moyes martinez situation to a love story, can't find it now but could said poster can now write the final chapter :-)

Would make sense. He's had his 100k a week for the past 11 months, already fleeced them for a good few million, as as ensuring we were fleeced in not getting a penny compensation for him.
 
I'm gutted he's been given the chop, he was doing a brilliant job of destroying their club.

No way do I want him back here in any capacity; he's been proven to be a footballing charlatan whose only saving grace is his hard-working mentality.
 

People saying the papers/internet broke the story before Moyes new anything...

Going on previous, Moyes was informed at Christmas he was getting sacked... In Alex Ferguson's kitchen.

Sorry mate just don't agree with the first part of that, IMHO the football we're playing today is far better than anything we done under Moyes. For the majority of the time under Moyes we couldn't string three passes together before we hoofed up field hopping our lone striker would make something of it, and even on the odd occasion he did our midfield we're laying so deep that they couldn't get up field quick enough to support the striker. There is no doubt that on the odd occasion we did play some good football but it was the exception rather than the rule. The second part I couldn't agree more.

I appreciate I am going completely against the grain here, but I for one am sorry his tenure at Old Trafford has ended in the way it has. I think it reflects very badly on the owners of the club, regardless of whether Moyes was up for the job or not (that is a different discussion).

The whole episode has been a disaster for all concerned from the start to end.

I think from the moment he was engaged in discussions with United, either through SAF or officially with the club he has (i) been very poorly advised (ii) he has completely misjudged what he was being offered, (iii) what he was expected to do, and (iv) the amount of support he would receive from the owners of Manchester United.

With the Glazers in charge finding the replacement they want may prove more difficult than anyone believes.

Fair enough mate, but I liked the football we played under him in his last 3 seasons, we just bottled it against the top 4 and that was down to him being negative.
