I think its a case of Osman getting picked for the easier teams at home, where he is bound to pick up an assist or two just by law of averages. Plus Barkley was being kept out as he was injured and yet to re-discover his blistering form of earlier in the season.
Bony would be a good permenant replacement for Lukaku but why you would have him playing behind Remy, if you meant that, i have no idea.

My logic was that you would effectively have two strikers, both of which are very capable of scoring, and one of which is said to be proficient in holding the ball up. If the player holding the ball up is playing as a second striker, then the wingers and full-backs should be in closer proximity to the ball, in a quicker duration of time, than if it was a lone striker holding the ball up. Then you would have Remy playing upfront, waiting in the box for a ball from the wingers or the second striker.

I don't think stats should be treated as gospel either. There were people referring to Fellaini having the 'most touches per game' as if that was something to rave about, as if taking 2 or 3 touches in executing a maneuver was somehow superior to executing it with one touch. Never mind the fact that there are no such statistics for tracking runners or reading the game.

Barkley has a very bright future, and I'm one of the people who think his best football will come from a central midfield position. But I'd rather have a more experienced, more creative number 10 playing behind our striker than Barkley or Osman next season.

I would rather we got a number 8, but I suppose Ross could do that job, I just have issues regarding Bony, him and Michu really didnt work, I would question whether he can play the number 10 role.

That's what I was advocating. Although it doesn't have to be Bony.

It should be a left mid (Tadic) a new striker (Remy or Batshuyi) and a new second striker, IMO.

Have you see Tadic or Batshuyi even kick a ball? I mean your endorsement for Bony seemed to have come from NSNO and his 9 goals.

Lol. That's exactly where my endorsement has come from. I only watch Everton.

But Tadic and Batshuyi come highly recommended and are said to be amongst the best players in their respective leagues.

As I said, Wenger will sign one of Remy or Batshuyi, and I think we should sign whichever one Wenger doesn't sign.

Remy isnt even that good and a bit rapey. (allegedly, not proven I dunno). I dont want him personally.

Bony would cost too much come to think about it. He is a good player I reckon and probably ideal for what Martinez wants to play but I dont think it matters anyway because I reckon we will get Lukaku.

Remy has been on fire this season. It's only Aguero, Suarez and Sturridge who have scored more than him. I think he is a brilliant striker.

Some would call Remy a predator, I didnt like the way he picked QPR over Newcastle for money reasons, im aware that thats how the modern game works, but im not a massive fan of players who do it.

Hes done alright certainly not a bad player or anything. I just dont think hes brilliant either.

The fact that he signed for QPR always rings bells with me too. He had a deal with Newcastle who were going well at the time and he ended up going to rock bottom QPR who were never staying up.
