Perhaps a crazy thought here but oh well.

Perhaps the europa league will lead the club/board NOT to invest in the team?

Call me mad but if Martinez agrees to use the reserve/youth players the ebst he can then some of them could be incorporated in the main squad if they do well. So instead of a mass investment which is clearly what we need, the board might use this to 'develop' the youth but in a disguise of not giving martinez any money...

You're mad you.

Especially as Martinez has said himself he'd invest if we are in Europe.

The board has also always said we have the (insert player) money to spend as well.

Martinez also said covering Gibson was a priority.

I m not saying we wont sign anyone, perhaps 4 loans and the rest from the youth team with the fellaini/Jelavic/anichibe money being forgot about.

I just cant see more than 4 players being signed anyway this summer. Thats not even factoring any 'forced' player sales after the world cup.

I'd be incredibly shocked if we spent anywhere near £20m this summer too mate.

Happy like, but very shocked!

Roberto kows the benefit of good publicity for the fans so he will tell us we have 100 million to spend ala Wenger's board if it creates a little bit of optimism for the fans.

We need good young players being brought in so we can build, i think everyone can see that. It is just a case of whether we will, or can.

Just a thought here, for all our dreams about foreign talent and future stars, I think we could well sign one or more of the following this summer;

McCarthur
McManaman,
Jordi Gomez
Di Santo
Moses
Rodillega
