He did but the obvious way to bring on Lukaku was for Naismith - he went for Osman to protect him for the Cup.

You don't take someone off when it's 0-0 after 59 minutes for a striker if you're resting said player. There's no chance.

Look back and see how many times Osman has been subbed this season. Were they all for him to be rested?

Having said all that, it would shock nobody to see Osman start against Arsenal.

Osmans been subbed shedloads this year around the hour mark, mainly cos hes goosed by that point. He may start he may not vs arsenal, but him getting subbed was 100% irelevant to that decision

It's our biggest game of the season, so we should play our strongest possible XI & Robles isn't our best keeper, he should therefore be on the bench.

He's damned whatever he does though in my opinion as soon as you start picking your 2nd choice keeper for cup games. He plays and we lose and he makes a mistake it will be "why didn't he play our first choice keeper". Picks Howard and he makes a mistake "why didn't he stick with Robles who hadn't put a foot wrong during the cup run".

I still aint forgiven Howard for not going right through Terry for that Chelsea goal and being glued to his line when the ball was 3 yards away.

True, but the stick he'd take would be FAR worse, if it was Robles who ended up costing us.

Agreed mate plus I would like to see them knocked out as in general I despise most clubs apart from ours of course so I see Arsenal as one big inconvenience to us being 1 step closer to getting our hands on some silver. I cant believe I was 17 the last time we won something and had to wait over half of that just to get to these kind of situations. If we do beat Arsenal I want the easiest and crappest team to face us in the semi final and the same in the final. I want Saturday to be the only difficult game we have to face. I just want a fxxxxxg win! Bloody hell its only Monday and I can feel my nerves jangling.
