Fulham signed 2 of them. Holtby and the Greek lad

Good call but holtby would have been a no go as we are to close to spurs,The Greek lad wouldn't wanted to sit on the bench when lukaku is fit, there would be no way we would have played him instead of Lukaku. But your right they would have been good but in the summer, perhaps Holtby maybe available then.

Its funny coz we've had a better transfer window than some of our close rivals. But then with the injuries, it doesnt look to good, we are now relying on the squad staying fit or we will be in big trouble.

CM cover is a bit of a downer, but any club had the injuries we've had over the last couple weeks would struggle; how many would go and replace like for like?? Not many.

Our attacking options are scary, and we have options when they are fit

Why the patronising bit at the end. Do you think I don't want Everton to quality for the Champions League and snot all the best teams in Europe?

Of course I do. But there's also a large dose of reality which I hope I covered in my post.

This isn't Champ Manager and we need to not get sucked into the whole deadline day meltfest.

It wasn't a great window, it wasn't a bad window. Were four points off fourth.

Go get em Everton.

You're the biggest fence sitter on this forum mega head.

No Evertonian is happy with a top 6 position, regardless of age Evertonians are brought up on our glorious history and there is not a single Evertonian who does not want that to return.

It is disingenuous in the least to accuse fellow Evertonians of having lower expectations than you may have.

We can argue about how we might achieve those objectives, but surely we all want the same outcome?

Everybody wants us to win the league, but i think some fans would be satisfied with us finishing 6th this season. I don't see why me thinking that is disingenuous, it's simply my opinion.

Did you post a picture of him because he is notorious for not knowing what words mean and you appear to be the same way with your "knee-jerking" comment? ;)

Because if you are under the impression people will change their minds or become less angry on this with the passage of time I'm fairly confident the likes of Davek and Brennan will prove you wrong there.

Top post this, in all the doom and gloom nice one for pointing out Baines has signed again because plenty thought he might have been going a month back, and today most of us forgot about how important this deal is. Not a new signing but it is very important looking to the future

He's arguably in the worst form in his Everton career, and has been overshadowed by the sadly injured Oviedo.

It's been a terrible window.

Its all good and well saying 4 points off fourth, but we dropped 2 points at WBA, just got bummed in the derby, had a fairly dire window, and most of our best players are unfit/injured.

Do people seriously think after the next two games we'll still be 4 points behind fourth?

Sometimes adversity brings out the best in us.

See the Chelsea game just after summer window shut.

That said I completely understand your concerns, and admit out of us Man U and Liverpool we're the least favourite to qualify for CL now. If anything it just adds more importance to the FA Cup for me.

Have any of our rivals strengthened? Mata aside which is not enough to save Man Utd's season its a case of as you were.

I remember similar last year. I then remember people fuming about how we messed up in the cup, and didn't finish 4th, and how it was all Moyes fault. The same people will probably do the same with Martinez if it goes the same way.

If money isn't spent (say 12 million which is about what we have recouped this year) in the summer, people will be right to be angry at the board.

Jelavic £7.5m
Anichebe £6m
Fellaini £27.5m

£41m (Kone and Robles and Alcaraz came from Fer/Negredo money in Jan 2013).

Spent £13m on McCarthy, a nominal fee on McGeady and the loan signings.

It's at the very least £20m, should be closer to £25m.
