I can hear it now, Bill in front of the hoarding press.

We tried our very best to sign a number of players such as pogba, vidal, kondogbia and fabregas. The money was there for Roberto but we unfortunatly fell down for two reasons.

1. We could not arrange a work permit in time.

2. The clubs said no.

Its almost certainly bollocks. but the manager attends to put a case forward to explain why this person is a better option than anything available in this country. The Manager is best placed to make the assessment.

Aye but last deadline day Roberto aparently spent the entire day getting a work permit for the guy according to twitter and the like.

He got his citizenship in December, he needed it in summer, but doesn't now.

I agree. I've just seen people saying on here and twitter that we should break the bank etc. I think it would be more wise at this stage, to save the majority or the money until the summer. That's unless Martinez really has something up his sleeve.
