• Turnover increased by almost £6m
• Gate receipts increased by £0.7m to £17.5m
• Broadcast revenue increased by £2.9m
• Other operating costs reduced by almost £1m and down 8.4% from 2009/10
• Operating profit before player trading of £0.7m versus £6.4m loss in 2011/12
• Net profit swing of £10.7m
• No increase in borrowings
• £10.7m swing in net profit from a £9.1m loss in 2011/12 to a £1.6m profit in 2012/13

Definately some positives considering this is before player sales of Fellaini and Jelavi and Anichebe and before new tv deals.

At least we're not Villa

To analyse 1.6 net profit. add that to the close to 21mil from player sales and reduce 6million from loans and martinez and we could have up to 22mil for players. Thats ignoring the new tv deals

Edit: I read it wrong. Didnt include player amortization. 1.6 net profit

To analyse 0.7 in addition to 10.7 = 11mil. add that to the close to 21mil from player sales and reduce 6million from loans and martinez and we could have up to 30million for players. Thats ignoring the new tv deals

wrong mate, the net profit swing is the difference between one years loss and the next years profit, as in we lost 9.1m the year before and made a profit of 1.6 the following year, = 10.7m profit swing so total of 1.6m made - still would mean that with trades of players this year we'd be sat around the 20m mark

They look alright considering they dont include the sales of Fellaini, Anichebe and Jelavic. Add to that the new TV deal.

Bear in mind we brought in a few players last summer. Plus martinez compensation.

We're still net positive though.

By this summer he'll certainly have a warchest

We've got to be careful with it though.

Not turn into Villa or Westham or Newcastle.

Cleverer than them

I'd say including everything. Right now we're plus thirty.

By end next summer. We'll be plus 40m.

Unless martinez begins acquiring people before then

we need to spend now tbh, its false economy to save when saving will see us slip down the league thus losing revenue from improved league position, and possibly a huge payment for europe, oh well two days to go and we will see where the ambition truly lies
