Computer games.

Loved the first episode of The Wolf Among Us but couldn't help but get annoyed at the blatant lag between the decisions. When you make a choice it took a while to keep up and choose the part that went next quite frequently. Really frustrating as it was really, really good and I wasn't much of a fan of The Walking Dead game by Tell Tale. Makes it feel like a really bad Xbox port. Could just be my Xbox for all I know.

You know what, platform matters here. Played all of The Walking Dead on Xbox and I love it, but it lags and churns along like a bitch.

Got The Wolf Among Us on my good PC and it's gorgeous. Smooth as Chico's arse and the textures are incredible. Bought my girlfriend The Walking Dead for her laptop and even on there it runs better than on my Xbox.

Bit behind the times, but anybody play Guild Wars 2? Did they enjoy it, what were the graphics like etc? I enjoy MMOs as long as they're not too "grindy", how's this play?

Picked up 3 games from the good ol CEX last night:

Halo 4
Deus Ex HR
Batman: Arkham City

Sinking my teeth into Halo 4 at the moment.
Beautiful, beautiful game.. amazing if you compare it side by side to Halo 3 how much extra developers have managed to squeeze out of the humble 360 over its life cycle.

Currently playing Lego Marvel with my son after santa brought it for him.

IT is actually a very good game, really fun playing it with kids along side you. There is plenty to do, lots of ways to get gold bricks, which you need for bonus levels. The characters have a good range and the baby loves buying someone new, from Ant Man to She Hulk.

Only problem is sometimes the split screen is terrible, there is one bonus mission that i swear to god you couldn't see yourself on either screen.

My boy got Lego Super Hero's as well for Christmas. We are Lego veterans though, our collection includes all 3 Star Wars games, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Batman and Lord of the Rings.

Last day of the Steam holiday sale today.

I have managed some darn good deals over the period via the regular sale, the flash sales and the community sales.

Get your last deals while you can!

I bought Aliens colonial marines £5 brand new in Asda, definitely worth £5. It got mauled as it was unplayable and awful, it's defo not as bad as that. 6.5/10

Only just saw this, sorry. It was really annoying as it just ruined the whole experience which overall was great. Should really have been optimised for console separately.

I had it mate and it's decent but don't believe the hype they gave themselves or believe some of the things they say like how much effect you have on the world around you.

The graphics are pretty good, need a very decent pc to get it playing smoothly on the highest settings though. Partially because there's a lot going on at all times on screen.

Can't really give you an insight into the real PvP because I didn't play much of it but I thoroughly enjoyed questing with my friends in a group but the problem is they said all the decisions you make have an effect, they don't. Within like 5 minutes anything you've done or seen is basically reset :/

Oh and you'll probably get bored of having to fully explore everything on every part of the map to level up quicker and stuff, it's repetitive and doesn't particularly feel that rewarding despite the treasure chest you get at the end for getting 100%.

Itemisation is ok but I found it boring compared to say WoW where the things you wear actually all look a lot different.

Hope it helps :)

I programmed the lighting system at Arena.net's headquarters in Bellvue. So you can probably blame me for GW2 being not-as-good-as-it-should-have-been. (programmers being distracted by the daylight harvesting routines setup for maximum electrical and lighting efficiency)

Well I ended up buying it and have been playing for a couple of days, it's quite fun, not too repetitive yet and easy to pick up, PC handles graphics fine which is a bonus, certainly not as good as the hype though you're dead right. Enjoying it for now though.

It's all about League of Legends. Anybody here play?

Also, how're people finding the xbox one? I'd really love to buy one but i've no money atm, seriously considering just buying it out of my next student loan..
