Super kev?

He was greedy yesterday, but his effort was superb, dont think ive seen Mirallas put himself about that much for a long time.
Totally agree with you mate, i was surprised at times seeing him pop up in the defensive third and really helping. Just love watching the attacking football we are playing away from home, with huge effort coming from all players.

I love him too much to be mad at him. It's not working for him in front of goal right now but his general play is good and his movement is great.

Players like Mirallas and Delboy will always be selfish, it's in their nature to go for glory because they have such high belief in their ability. Unfortunately it means they frustrate the sh*t outta ya most of the time.

I think his increased work rate lately is down to the impact Deulofeu has made, lets hope he keeps grafting now the young spaniard is out. Regardless of the assists, I expected bigger things from him this season.

Can't criticize him too much because he's got goals and assists and is in very decent form. He isn't a playmaker, either.

Having said that, of course keeping your head up and being able to pick out a key pass is something which all of our players need to work on, and Kev perhaps more than most.

I've no probs with playing him at the moment. People forget that he spent a lot of last season injured, and is still relatively new to the PL. I'm confident that he'll continue to improve in all aspects under Martinez.

For me he has been here long enough to be fully judged and I think he is basically an OK player. Sometimes good, very occasionally very good but most of the time just OK. His attitude and workrate along with his effectiveness is extremely variable. He fits with the squad and seems happy most of the time, but I think we have just had a continuous pattern as fans of getting excited about him - i was very optimistic about what hed do this season - everytime he had a decent game and/or scored a goal.

Right now my opinion is that this is Kev, this is the level we will get from him and when we are building a squad his would be a position I think we can improve on even if it wouldn't be a priority. I'm aware of the assists he has got but I am going on his performances in general over his time here.

I love him as he is one of ours but he is just OK.

Given that he does more things right than wrong the odd niggle about his game is acceptable. He'll turn in a badd-ish performance (relatively speaking) now and again but he's more than decent so I'm prepared to cut him some slack. Romelu isn't on his A game at the moment either and I sense most people are giving him plenty of slack for that.

Plus he was sh1t hot at the back end of last season if you remember.

Moyes ruined him

He played better under MOyes than he has at any point under Martinez. I thought this seaosn we'd see Mirallas getting close to world class status. His goals agianst TSoke and Totteenham were glimpses of this talent. Haven't seen it at all this year. Seems to be asked to play wide right as Pienaar comes infield whereas he got a free orle a lot of the time last year. Looks at his best up front or behind the striker or maybe coming in off the left wing forward position. Hugging the touchline is not his thing.

caught a big one here!

Needs to score more, imo. 2 goals in 18 games isn't brilliant.

He's certainly capable of scoring a lot more. I think last season he had far more shots on target than anyone else in our side but his conversion rate was middling.

He seemed to loiter more last year and get on the end of things whereas this season he's talked about being the creator more, so maybe he has been asked to get on the ball and make things happen?

He's joint fifth in the Premier League assists table with 5 at the moment. I do still feel that he's being too selfish though and he's shooting when the better ball is to play in a team mate. He's only just turned 26 though and he'll still improve yet.

Just wondering what other fans are feeling about the little Belgian. Absolutely love the guy but as of late seems to hold on to the ball a bit too much for my liking, anyone else feel different?

Nowt wrong with Kev.

Sure he is a bit "selfish" at times....but that is a sign of confidence.

Let's be honest....when Seamus launced that Exocet on Sunday, there were players better placed and a pass was on.

When Ross had that shot which the goalie tipped on to the crossbar, he had better options than to shoot.

Are we criticising them? Not on yer nelly.

These lads are all playing with confidence.

So they shoot on sight.

We won.

It's all good, pal.....
