Why are we suprised by the more duplicitous antics from the shirt burning bum wipes down the road ,after everything he has done, said to the odious flag waving badge wearing shower of deluded fools he can still hold the club to ransome ,and better still pull the wool over thier eyes. We know if it was a Everton player he would have been gone . Up the road ,p45 and good bye . But yet again they show thier lack of class by proving that at LFC one player is truly bigger then the club . They know they would be midtable without beaver boy . 160 grand a week ! The only one winning is Gnasher.
F$%k em. He´ll do it to them again , and we will laugh .Loud .

640 grand a month, that a lot of money

A. He does something like biting or racially abusing someone again

B. He disrupts their dressing room

C. He breaks his leg

D. He advocates a move and embarrasses them

E. He has a fall out with Brenda

F. His salary causes the rest of their team to demand pay rises

Need I go on?

None of that matters - Liverpool have made a statement of intent by renewing his contract, the end result is either they build a side around a world class striker for the next five years, or they cash in for £80m+. The damage to their reputation is already done - the whole world knows them for what they are; the thing is though, they're cultists. And, as such, they don't care what the world thinks outside their own bubble.

I'd much rather they'd sold him in the summer for £50m or whatever, simply because they'd have wasted the cash on dross again.

Barring the completely random chance of a leg break, this is sensational news for Liverpool. It's like us signing Lukaku on a permanent and then some, as they are in every single way a one man team.

Tubey is right mate.

Those things you list MIGHT happen. They also MIGHT not.

This isn't good for Everton.

Its always been like this, what different now? they always come out smelling of roses, they had torres, sold him for 50 million, got ratboy in, they have always have top strikers for the last 30 years. The Liverpool brand is massive, they make millions and are not even in the CL, at the end of the day, they are still an unclassy cheating mongs while we are Everton, remember our name and no way will our club worry about a no-mark like ratboy.

Of course it is, they're direct rivals for European qualification AND our local rivals!

well they've had him for the last couple of years and it hasn't helped them finish above us

difference is we're a better team than we were then

(and I'm not @rsed if they are or not)

so ****ing what, they have always had class players, Gerrard and Torres were a dream partnership, you must be naive if you thought Liverpool days were over.

I didn't, but it would have hindered them - I'd have preferred them to lose a striker who scores almost a goal a game consistently and spunk the income on the next Andy Carroll and five more Iago Aspas-esque dogpoop rather than keep him.

Pretty much this. I thought them lot were knee jerk but can't believe all the rubbish about them being anywhere near good enough to win the league. Two weeks ago they were losing to Hull Tigers ffs. They're no better off than they were yesterday. Great upfront but very average just about everywhere else.

It might not be good news, but he has already been at Liverpool for 3 years. Nothing really changes. And if Madrid want to buy him they will.

If he had the personality of Gianfranco Zola he would be my favourite current player. (Un)fortunately he has the personality of a rat so it is very easy to dislike him. His style of play is like Recoba who was one of my all time favourite players.

They are always lucky with strikers, nothing new
