So I don't have any professional soccer in my hometown, meaning I was more or less "free" to pick from the entire world of who I wanted to support.

A big part of the reason I picked Everton is because of the supporter culture. It's genuine involvement and interest in what is going on on the pitch.

No noise for the sake of noise. No racist chants in some stupid attempt to psyche some opposing player out. It's 30,000-some people who care what's going on and are actively engaged and enthusiastic the game happening in front of them. It would only take one look at the record at Goodison to see that it's effective.
