Talking of both sides, what about Fritz Haber - Father of chemical weapons in WW1 and would have done the same in WW2 if it wasn't for the slight problem of him being a Jew. Had to do one to the UK. Also ran the research group that developed Zyklon B - although it was developed as an insecticide (and used worldwide as such) so its later relevance can't really be laid at his door.

He's also the reason that 3 billion people will wake up tomorrow and eat breakfast. His industrial production of ammonia is probably the most important chemical process ever invented, and even today is estimated to underpin half of worldwide food-production (through fertilizer synthesis). The Haber process was developed on an industrial scale by Carl Bosch at BASF, who formed IG Farben, became BASF again after the war, and are now one of the largest chemical companies in the world. So it's a complicated path these German industrial giants have followed over the years.

Kraftwerk too, the teutonic pioneers of a synth based sound that would change the face of popular music for at least 8 years

I love drinking Fanta, I drive a BMW and my aftershave is Hugo Boss. Adding to that my favourite pizza's are Dr. Oetker. I might have to re-evalutate my life...

Do you also have a small mustache and walk round with one arm in the air??

If so you must really really re- evaluate your life.

ps your user name has nothing to do with your shirt colour does it...if so the above goes double
