Gary Stanley makes 7.

FFS! Another one!! I am never going to set a fecking question again! Me and me old man spent hours the other night thinking of players who had been at both, and you lot have unearthed 3 we didnt get!

I have one more, which is a bit unfair cos he was a City legend pre WW1 when they were 2nd in the league and runners up in the FAC. (Which is how the conversation got going in the first place!)

Gee whizz. Not the one I was thinking of, but he did play for City on loan I think.

Should have named this question "Everton players that Roydo didnt know played for Brsitol City FFS!"

TBF asking for 6 and getting 8 is about par for the course for questions on here. Happens to me regularly.

Still call it a step up from the allardyce debacle.

Wait you asked for six and we've given you seven of which three you didn't have. So four of your list of six.

So that's two left, surely?

Me and me dad got 7. But the 3 above, Kenyon, Hunt & Jevons wernt on it!

So we are now up to pretty much a full team!

The one that started the chat was a guy called Andy Burton, who played for City in 1909, (2nd in the league/FAC runners up), then went to Everton and was in the side that got relegated to Div 2. We thought that was ironic, given the fortunes of both clubs since, but our knowledge has been truely exposed as piss poor!

Looked up the fa cup team on wiki and literally never heard of the guy, before. Never would have got him in a million years.

Also, how the feck did you guys win the welsh cup? Were you lost?

We used to make up the numbers mate! City and Rovers still played, until recently, the Gloucester FAC final every year. Lob in the odd Anglo Scottish Cup, (City beat St Mirren managed by SAF I think), and the Freight Rover Trophy.

Beggers/Choosers.

Are you from Bristol Roydo? I noticed Colin Hall on that website (1 game for City!!) - met him on holiday a couple of years ago - was a full back for Forest in the 60s and told me Duncan McKenzie was the best ever.. (spotted me in my Everton leather jacket and got chatting with him).
