Why? We've acted perfectly so far with this - no player has kicked off, no bid has come in to meet our valuation of the player, therefore the player is still contracted to Everton and starting every game.
We're perfectly happy to keep Fellaini if we have to and Fellaini is obviously happy to stay at Everton if United don't meet the valuation; if he was upset at us turning down £28m he'd have handed in a transfer request in an outrage.
There's been no quotes whatsoever from either Fellaini or Baines; it's been purely media speculation.
I dont claim to be an expert but to me the whole things a soap opera and is basically this...
Moyes and Kenright are pals
Kenright talks about Man united as tho he is in ore of them and they are the promised land
this deal is done and the 'derisory bids' are just to cushion the blow when they finally are sold tomorrow.
Moyes is going to try help his mate Kenright look like a great chairman who has really dug in and got everton a good price for our two best players.
and why tomorrow? because Kenright can make out we had know time to spend all the money on decent replacements so we spend a derisory fee on a McCarthy and the board pocket the rest. Oh! and sky make an entertaining program out of it too, not like they have a big say in the premiership or anything...
Face it lads there both going
