Everton confirm rejecting 28M for both Fellaini and baines

Mike Parry just said it all on talksport for me. This is about more than the transfer of 2 players - it's about how Utd think they can treat us - shown by how they initially approached Moyes.

For once Parry is right & I think the fact that Everton have leaked the details of this approach shows that they're fed up of being dicked around behind the scenes.

The clause expired on the 31st July Dave. The rumoured bid values are £12m for Baines & £16m for Fellaini, lol.

Well, there is no clarity on this yet, I really wouldn't rule any crazy valuation out. But whichever way you cut it it's Moyes and United trying to mug off a club at the start of the season with hardly time to recover from it (because this WILL drag out to the final few days of the window, make no mistake).

Appalling behaviour.

You've got that totally wrong.

When the clause was in place the player could have gone at any time for the £23.5m clause figure, so we didn't hold the cards at all. Now it's expired he can only go for what we choose to accept for him, so we're back in control.

A club could have bid any figure they liked when the clause was in place, it's just that they'd have been guaranteed to succeed at £23.5m

Unless Fellaini pushes a move, driving the price down.

As said before, Moyes as totally messed up his 'main' transfer targets who have not wanted anything to do with Utd. The bid is classless and is designed to do one thing, and one thing only; unsettle either one, or both players to force a move. I'd excect Utd to be looking to pay around £35m-£40m for the pair, but this inital bid is to get there heads turned. And we all know what a massive weapong Fellis dad is.

If this bid is true, then I'd love Martinez to go public and make a right arse out of Moyes. I'd unsettle Rooney, and talk about him 'coming home' as part of a huge deal or say he'd be better of at Chelsea where he could get regular first team football.

Can't stand parry. But I've got to say he summed it up perfectly. Went on to hammer united over how they recruited moyes in the first place. His tone was right this is more than a bid for our two best players, it is a lack of respect shown to Everton football club that is the most outrageous.

They'll both go. My big worry is that we'll get a second bid on Tues/Wed of around 32-33m and reject that one, too. Kenwright won't want his 'Martinez March' turning into a very different kind of march. Then we'll beat WBA on Saturday with both Baines and Fellaini playing and we'll all be happy. By Monday they'll be completing their medicals at Carrington, and we'll get 35m just in time to buy McCarthy at an inflated price and perhaps Moses and one other on loan.

The rest of the cash will be forgotten about by Christmas.

There's clarity on the clause mate, Martinez has publicly stated it ended on July 31st.

It's poor, poor form from Moyes & United, they've obviously been tapping the pair of them up behind the scenes & think they can take the piss out of us over the fees, as both players would come.

We should tell them to **** off, as even with an inflated fee, we're going to end up over paying for their replacements, so we'll see no value from it at this point in the window.

Maximum damage being caused here by the amount and the timing. Insures a drawn out affair right up to deadline. During which, neither player will be in any state to play football.

I'm not surprised. This fella had shown us ZERO respect for some time now. Even in his tone during his last 2 years as manager.

If UTD fail to win the league & Martinez was to succeed here it blows his cover as 'Mr. miracle worker'.

Maximum damage

Whack some quotes here mate.

Quite a few of them agree with us, although I did see one that said "Please don't let us sign Baines"

I can only assume that particular person has supervised internet access and was running low on medication.

No - that'd make us just as ridiculous as them. Just reject the bid, and keep rejecting the bids until they **** off or are willing to pay well over the market rate for both.
