Does this mean we can sell Naismith?

I mean, he is totally **** and must be way down the pecking order now.

For the money Kone is rumoured to be costing I'd sooner see Everton bring in Darren Bent. He's the same age and is a much more consistent finisher.

Kone would have been great under Moyes, but I'd hoped the plan for next season would be to get the striker on the end of chances rather than have him focus on creating space for midfield runners. It could still work out well though; he was very good at Levante and decent enough at Wigan.

Martinez's game is pretty much similar to Moyes. One Lone centre forward, one wide man providing width, and one man behind them on the other side to provide some balance and knit thing together. There is no space for the poacher for his possess-and-rush system as the 3 are all required to defend - The Centre forward don't need to track back but need to close down space and chase down every ball over the top, and the other 2 form a line of 4 with the 2 CMs.

I just don't rate Darren Bent. In fact I just don't rate any poacher. Players incapable of defending or at least pressure the opposition, nor really capable of creating space for others, has no place in the modern game, at least until another tactical revolution.

DAVE WHELAN BROKE HIS LEG IN THE CUP FINAL ONCE UPON A TIME

And used the compo to create a gym chain that made him so much money he bought his local team and took them from none league football to the very top and even won the cup for the first time in their history. Bag egg though cos the media keep banging on about something he mentioned once

Expect Bill to come out with a soppy story of how Kone has 'been touched' by Everton and how he'gets us' next week.

C'mon Kone ed slot it boss for us.

I think Whelan has become our new communications officer

Whelan for some reason is a very, very vocal Chairman, close to Ken Bates level. But somehow overplaying that will led you into Ashley Territory with all his Kebabs flying straight from JFK.

It odd. He's supposed to operate behind the striker as the linkman role.

I can see sooner or later we would lump him up top, given the lack of interest for him, and his Scottish work rate.

You're wrong I'm afraid. Moyes played 4-4-1-1, it was basically 2 banks of 4 with Fellaini and Jelavic expected to do everything. Martinez played with 3 genuine attackers for much of last season and when he played 4-5-1, it was 4-2-3-1 which is the way so many teams play these days. The 3 behind the striker should be attacking players, not Phil Neville x 3

he's also put millions of his own money to fund a youth zone in Wigan to help keep kids of the streets. Yes he likes to talk in the media but he seems like a top guy to be honest

He's also trying to take a massive part of greenbelt land to make one of his hotel/gyms to 4* status. And use the land to continue wigan's youth academy. The **** also accused us of not paying out gym membership and questioning why my father who's on crutches was parking in a disabled spot, with a badge just becuase he likes to park in one with his bentley.

He's a ****.

Generally 4-4-1-1, but played a lot of 4-2-3-1 and a bit of 4-4-2. I read here all the time that Moyes is so tactically stubborn, and it really couldn't be further from the truth.
