MOYES, YOU ARE OUT OF ORDER

funny it's the people who hate him the most that are the ones that find it hardest to let go

not bothered about what the bid was cos that happens in football but what pisses me off is that whatever way you look at it he was still legally our manager who is bidding for one of our players the fella on ssn was nearly pissing himself laughing when he broke the story. and as for martinez doing the same we dont know that we have put any bids in for any wigan players

When David Moyes made those two bids, he was an employee of Everton FC. He breached the trust confided in him which is a presumed duty to act in the clubs interests. But hey I'm sure he'll be having a bevvy with Kenwright on the weekend and get a grand pat on the back for his 11 years of single handedly turning Everton FC into a top 6 team then bringing the ****ing walls down.

Dont bother taking your coat off, you wont be there long.

Wow. It was decided during the season that Moyes was leaving. His pay arrangements were made then. I.e. the club agreed to this. I'm sure they were well aware that Moyes may want to start his work before July 1st. If they had made him agree not to bid for any players before then, the club would have had something to say about this bid.

After the players left for the summer, he had virtually no work to do. What responsibilities has he been neglecting to put this bid in? It's clear he's broken no agreement with this bid, if it was even him that lodged it. And as for him being behind the number, well, speculation is being kind. Not that it's the insult people are making out. Many opening bids are quite a way off the mark. Perhaps United don't want to spend much on a full-back this year.

The important bit is, we don't have to accept and we haven't. He'll approach transfers at United the same way he did here, by going for the best deal. That means starting low and bidding higher. As it's the club who's paying his wages, don't you think they'd have had something to say if he'd openly taken the piss out of them? Come on. The club are willing to sell anyone and obviously don't have a problem with early bids.

Well, 'the club' is a fairly elastic concept. Regardless of whether EFC Ltd dont mind (and they said they did, so you're on a fairly sticky wicket there), you should mind when a player like Baines is being snatched away by our former manager.

*waits for 'but it's just business' response*

When did the club say they minded? You mean when Bill said he'd ask Moyes not to come back in? Are we believing him there then? That'd be very convenient for Bill wouldn't it? That old routine. Classic Bill. Again, this is all assuming Moyes was the main force behind this bid.

You just said it, he's our former manager. Are we asking him not to bid because he used to be our manager? I do think the fume over him having less than a week left on his deal is a tad over the top tbh. I wouldn't give a flying whoever the Hell was doing it tbh, leaving all feelings on Baines and the amount aside. It's a few days where he'd have been sitting on his arse as he wasn't our manager anyway.
