Vaughan and Anichebe

I would rather Vaughan be up there supposedly taking the ball off peoples heads(which I don't agree with, if a call was there then he should have left it, if not, then it is first to the ball gets it. don't take the chance that the other bloke is on your side, could have been a defender for all James knew), than us turning around saying"Why isn't vaughan up there challenging for it?"

As for Vic, class.

We need both players as they both offer something different, but both match up with hunger and tenacity.

.

Full agreement with you, Gaz (y)

I have to hold my hand up I had doubts about Victor but he has impressed me with his last two performances(y)

Yes i agree, i was also a doubter, some of his perfermonces last season were a joke, but hes really come good this season, so hats off to the lad.

James has had a LOT of missed time due to a lot of very, very serious injuries, i sometimes feel so sorry for the lad, if he can stay fit he will turn into a real class striker.

I dont think its any surprise that they have both upped there games, they both know that Saha is waiting in the wings and its up them both to show Moyes what they can offer.

If we're going to continue to play with 5 midfielders which seems likely, and we are low on numbers in the midfield..

Your thoughts about perhaps trying to school Anichebe into becoming an offensive RM/RW player?

It would bolster our midfieldnumbers and he has played well the last 1,5 games in such a position. Not much to go on to be sure, but still...

Losing Anichebe last night was a bad do, it soon became obvious we were missing his energy and go in the middle and the linking with Cahill and Yak. On last night's show Anichebe was better than Vaughan.

On last nights view Anichebe is better than Cahill, it means nothing really.

I like Vic but I have no doubts Vaughan is the better player.

Vic has come of age in the last two games where he's started on the right. It was indeed a blow to see him carried off.
When James came on we were chasing for a win and no doubt he would have been focused on getting something. They could form an intersting partnership up front one day with a little more experience under their belts.

Anichebe has played really well the last 2 games. Seem's like he's improved alot. Seem's like his rapist's touch has gone. His attitude has improved, as has his all round game really.

Vaughan was abit wild, a deer on ice when he made that run. Still he's very raw after coming back from injury, so you can't expect a Messi run. Still breathes a new leash of life into the team and the crowd.

Bring this up again...I always considered Vaughan to be better, but this season Anichebe has been great, all his performances above average, his touch has improved along with his passing and shooting. Honestly hes got me really excited when he plays now, because he is the type of player who can change the match, just from his presence.

One thing i am wondering though...is he left footed? Because all the shots ive seen him take outside of the box are always on his left foot! but im sure hes right footed

As for Vaughan, he had a bust up with Moyes didnt he?

Vaughan is better, I have no doubts about that to be honest.

Victor is more developed, he's played alot more football so that's the way it was always going to be. He definatly right footed, although he has scored with both feet.

I think Moyes told Vaughan off, I doubt they've had a bust up. I don't think Moyes was going to use Vaughan anyway to be honest, we had alot of attacking options in the likes of Yak, Saha, Cahill and Anichebe. Also Yobo had to be on the bench as did Pienaar.

I've said time and time against people shouldn't write Anichebe off so soon, the potential is there but he's a young lad and he's going to have his ups and downs. Evertonians don't give alot of players time though, that's just the way we are.

Vaughan is definatly better though.

I think Vic is showing a lot more maturity on the field, happen playing at international level has also helped. If he had opted for England he would have been no where near Capello's plans.

Vaughan may have more ability but perhaps he needs to mature more, and realise their are other players out there.

That is the case to be honest but Vaughan has missed alot of football. Especially in the technical areas, he needs work. Hopefully Saha will stay fit and we can just use every once and a while.

He needs building up. He still looks a little light to me aswell, physically he's not where he should be. Once he gets into that condition though he's a bull and I think he's proven he can compete against good centre halfes.

Both have potential but both need time. Vaughan more so at the moment.

Toxteth, I was just watching your Avatar. Oh boy could we have done with Fernandes, especially instead of Neville or Osman.

For me he is the type we are missing in the middle.

We are but he didn't run enough for people to like him. Evertonians demand work rate over quality, that's just the way it is.
