They cannot give what they don't have. Earl and others are Kenwright's friends who all sit on the board because otherwise it would be to obvious that Kenwright runs the club his way and only his way.

If Kenwright at the end of the season gave Moyes an ultimatum - take it or leave - I would be happy.

They're loaded.

For the way he's taking the club for granted and acting like they need to impress him enough to get him to stay rather than the other way round, yes.

I would have told him in january that it's an unneeded distraction and he either signs or loses his job.

Well. It's not really going to happen is it? He is using the teams performance as tool to get a better budget for the club.

Or you can perceive It as a nice little earner improvement for himself, depends on you perception. I personally don't mind what he has done, he has done a good enough job with his menial finances, he has, or attempted to call kenwrights bluff.

Kenwrights gone on record saying he is best mates with him, how many club owners do that? They both know what's ahead, it's unfortunate the perception is he is using the team as a bargaining tool, but then again Davy has never been great at mind games.

My own belief is he will sign, regardless where we finish, not because he won't get a better deal elsewhere ( you are kidding if you think that) he has his plaudits all over Europe and you forget he is an Alchemist when it comes to improving clubs with little finance.

He is. But teams with little finance tend not to pay the wages we pay him. Only QPR and Liverpool from the teams beneath us will.

I think he's doing us a favour long term. He knows how much Kenwright wants to keep him and he's using that to get more funds to improve our team, nowt wrong with that, (if that's what he's doing).

1st manager in the history of everton football club ,to hold the club to ransom ,not once but twice ,

if we had a chairman who understood everton properly this wouldn't be happening would it. It certainly wouldn't if many on here were the owner that's for sure.

he'll be staying sadly, great manager for us, but the last two years have left a lot more sour tastes in the mouth than good ones, he's ruining what should be an amazing reputation from every single blue

I'm still surprised that people think this is over what he has to spend .

Same as how you got kopites arguing suarez got himself damned deliberately to force them to buy another striker in the summer.

Fans will spin it in anyway so that their heroes aren't the mercenaries they blatantly are.

When your the best Manager in world football, it allows you certain benefits.

We should be grateful that he didnt resign in January, dat Martinez would have us sitting in 12th by now.

None of those Managers could do it on a cold night in Stoke.

And please, for the love of God, will people stop saying Pep is a good Manager, my cat could manage Barca.
