Beckford & Vaughan

Vaughan was never going to succeed just because of his injury record. If he wasn't made of glass he could well still have been with us now but we'll never know.

Goal scoring wise, Beckford did well for us but his first touch and general hold up play was very poor which was never going to put him in Moyes' good books. I've never thought he is a premier league player though, the quality isn't there.

Both have suffered with injuries this season.

Beckford scored 10 in 16 starts. He's an ideal PL sub. I liked him and he was a good player. A lot better than some give credit for.

Wasn't a great player but was useful. Unfortunately Moyes misused him shockingly. The guy wasn't a lonestriker and kept being asked to pretend to be one.

Spot on. His movement was superb too. Just a decent option that could occasionally change the game in our favour. Worth keeping for what we got IMO.

I was gutted we swerved Vaughan, always thought he could of made an impact, had he swerved the injuries a la Victor.

Good to see them doing well.

Beckford score 10 goals spending most of hte season hte bench. By no means brilliant but knew where the net was and would have been a better option than Jelavic this season. He had pace too, something defenders are **** scared about

I'd of favoured beckford to slot the chances Jelavić has been fluffing this season. Some of his finishes were sublime.

Yup.

His movement in the box was premiership class. He had a problem not finishing plenty of chances created and his touch was poor at times... But the lad could slot.

Most of his 10 goals were very good finishes. Chelsea, Bolton, RS, Wolves, all quality strikes

Beckford only scored one more Premier League goal than Jelavic this season having played the same amount of games. That's not good at all.

Think one of the promoted sides will pick Beckford up to be honest, i think Cardiff would be stupid not too.
Leicester dont want him clearly and the lad has scored goals in the Premier League before. Would make sense.

Not a chance mate. There's a reason Leicester dont want him mate. And he really hasn't played well for Huddersfield.

Vaughan has outshine him big style.

I liked Beckford, sure he's nowhere near being a complete striker but he knew where the goal was and was quick. We could have done much worse than keeping him on as a squad player or super sub to chase down tired defences. Vaughan on the other hand is unlikely to fulfill his potential and we were right to get rid of him when we did even though it's disappointing the way he had so much talent but his body had other ideas.
