Anfield derby last year, we were unbeaten in like 8 games and Liverpool were in poor form and it was the worst Liverpool team in years.

We got tonked 3-0
Like I said It does happen but in isolated moments. Just like Wigan beating us in the cup. Or Villa beating the rs at anfield.

For me it's a blessing to play the sides around us in the chase for them places. At least it's in our hands to some extent as if we won those games we'd be near enough certain to take 4th.

I think we will do arsenal. Lose against Liverpool and Chelsea.
I'm not over confident we will the home games we should either!

6th place

If we win two out of the three big away games and do the business in the home games, I would say factoring in the Europa League influence, that we would be in with a big chance of fourth place. It is a big ask, but we will be at full strength hopefully going into these game and I don't think any side is going to fancy playing against an attacking four of Anichebe, Mirallas, Fellaini and Pienaar, not to mention we have two of the best full-backs in the division now especially in Baines and then arguably Coleman. I say it's on. That Wigan game has fired a rocket right up the squads ass and I believe they are absolutely determined and not counting their chickens in any game, at the very least I would say the gap will be less than 6 points between us and 4th come the end of the season.

The thing what we have going for us is that there is 3rd place available . Now arsenal look on fire so i would say they could get 3rd which leaves us with 2 teams who are in europa league and fa cup. They will slip up . Rafael wants silverware for his cv so he wont be bothered about 4th and tottenham have extra games plus if bale comes back he wont be 100% and i think they are running out of steam . I just dont want us to slip up agaisnt the likes of qpr fullham and west ham

This really, the way things have gone for us results-wise since the Wigan calamity gives us a real chance going into the final furlong now.

We'll beat Arsenal. In recent games between us we've been very even.

We must just watch out for the Rosicky suckerpunch

Don't forget the other tems in the battle also have hard games to come.

Spurs play both Citeh and Chelsea.

Chelsea have to go to Anfield.

Arsenal aren't exactly rapt that we are coming down there next week.

No reason why we can't go to Liverpool and and win.

None whatsoever.

It's all there for EFC.

We need belief from everyone......the manager, the players and the fans.

I've been playing around with the BBC league predictor, my first go I was being as neutral as possible with no bias to Everton or against liverpool and tried to do it as I potentially think it could go. Everton finished 6th.

Done it again, this time being more favourable to Everton and the odd slip up with Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal. The only slip up I done with Everton was 1-1 with West Ham and a 1-0 loss at Anfield. We finished 5th.

I done it a third time and Everton won every single game, there was slip ups with the others and we finished 4th on the same points as Tottenham who finished 3rd on GD, both on 73 points. Chelsea finished 5th on 72 points.

This is gonna be hard.

Very difficult to predict for Everton. We could win away to Arsenal but lose at home to QPR.
It is our performances against lesser teams that has held us back this season.

I am more confident about the Arsenal game than I was about getting anything from Spurs.

Their back 4 is still poor and I am confident we can score at the emirates.

Yesterday's performance and result confirmed what a completely **** Board we have. One or two signings in January and we'd have been right in there, instead of hoping for a miraculous last 7 performances by us and slip ups from the rest. Despite all the praise Spurs get there is clearly nothing between the teams and one good signing would have prevented our poor February.

A disgraceful dereliction of duty by the Board that beggared belief. Of course there is always the possibility (or likelihood!) that there was no bank funding available because the banks know something about Everton's finances that we don't.

Zamora suspended on Saturday and Mertesacker will miss the game the following Tuesday.

We have to win our home games (QPR, Fulham, West Ham) and the trip to Sunderland as a minimum. If we can win either against Arsenal or Chelsea and draw the other two it might just be enough.

It's mad that we're playing 6 London sides in our last 8 games of the season.
