Player Valuation: Free Transfer
Hello Toffees,

Sorry if this is the wrong forum. First time poster here from Dundee. Group of four lads (all Everton fans) coming down this weekend for the game. First time for all of us visiting Goodison. Just wanted to know where the best boozers are around Goodison to grab a couple of pints before the match?

Cheers!
Daz.

Welcome mate.

I usually go to Orry's just to sit down and have a pint.

But if your looking for decent atmosphere before the game then I would recommend the Oak or the Spellow.

I like the Thomas Frost on Walton Road.

The Harlech castle used to be good but it's been donkeys years since I was in there so I don't know what it's like now. Players (was Orry's) is ok too.

Stoke to be my first visit at Goodison!

Hi everybody!!
I really hope this is the right forum, so that i won't get anyone on my back.
But this is just going to be the regular, where to go, what to see, my first time at goodison type of thread.
I'm from Denmark, and i'm so lucky to have a father from England, and even better, him being an Everton fan!
So he raised me to be a true blue!
Tomorrow we are leaving the girls at home and driving to England, to go on a kind of guy trip, with the main purpose, me watching my first Everton match at Goodison Park.
We got to see Everton play a couple of season back, a pre-season game in Rochdale, which i think we won 1-3.
We'll be staying in Manchester, and besides the Everton - Stoke match, we'll go and watch, Leicester - Millwall on Friday, and on Sunday we'll go to Villa park, hopefully to see Benteke and co. beat liverpool!!
We got our tickets on stubhub so we are going to sit in Lower Gwladys, GT6.
All I really want to ask is just the ordinary questions, which pubs to go to before and after the game, and if anyone has anything they think would be fun or interesting to see as an Everton fan or a tourist when we are in Liverpool and Manchester.
And also i remember a thread, which was about where to go if you would like to see the players before the match, if anyone knows the answer to that it would be brilliant as well.
And then a last one. A friend of mine went to liverpool last year and told me about a store, in which you could buy old Everton shirts, so if anyone knows where such a store might be, I would be thrilled to know.

Thank you in advance, and once again, sorry if it's the wrong forum.

Cheers for all the replies guys, really helpful. Will be heading up Walton/County Road then before the game.

Bluejock, i'm from the east end of Dundee mate. Not far from Broughty Ferry. You familiar with Dundee at all?

I lived in the Ferry til I was 17 mate, my mum still lives there, up near the Barnhill shops.
