All Is Not Forgiven

Also within a week of build up, I would of thought that at least one of our players would have a eureka moment and realize that actually this is quite a big game and worth turning up to, even without Moyes who I am still fairly sure wouldn't be walking around saying your useless, you can't play, I want you to lose, and even if he did, I would still expect a better performance from our professional and well paid players wouldn't you?

I agree the players were largely at fault for the dire performance against Wigan. But a high-end manager has it within his power to turn those players around for the second half. And generally to coax his players to turn it on for important games.

As Moyes doesn't do that, he will not be marked for a top job. After Everton he is likely to have to move down a peg to prove himself.

Colin Murray posed the question "How can EverDin (sic) go from last week's performance to that one"?

Pat Nevin replied, with Lawrenson nodding in agreement, "They were afraid to face Davey Moyes again if they had performed as they did last week.....the eyes would have been bulging".

What, like this?

I hear about his supposed hardman image all the time from fans of other clubs and read it everywhere on mainstream comment sites. If only he did have the hairdryer qualities of a Lord Ferg.

Probably around 90% of your posts are aimed simply at having a go at nameless sections of the fanbase who don't share your opinion by patronising them. The definition of a WUM.

What's a WUM?

Usual sycophantic comments from the panel on MOTD2 this evening. Colin Murray posed the question "How can EverDin (sic) go from last week's performance to that one"? Pat Nevin replied, with Lawrenson nodding in agreement, "They were afraid to face Davey Moyes again if they had performed as they did last week.....the eyes would have been bulging". And that, chaps, is how the whole football world sees things at our club. Last week's fiasco was nothing to do with Moyes.....not his disastrous team selection, not his archaic tactics. It was all the players' fault and they performed like world beaters yesterday because they were afraid of him.
Mate ... it's MOTD. If they were on the other side of the argument and blaming Moyes the argument they'd use to do it would be just as incoherent and poorly thought-out as their argument defending him. It's essentially a children's program -- record it and fast forward the "analysis" like any sensible person does. Their moronic rambling isn't proof of anything aside from the LCD nature of sports programming.

Of course he can't.

Lets ignore the fact that the players gave away a free header against Wigan which started the ball rolling for them.

But we are not getting to the required next level with Moyes in charge. So what shall we do just keep going around in circles ? Its been 11 years mate I don't think its going to change do you ? He just hasn't got that ruthless win at all cost mentality that it really takes to achieve tangible success

But we would under say Martinez?

Behave, the real issue at Everton is in the boardroom, whoever comes in is on a hiding to nothing in terms of the "next level", as that level is currently filled with clubs who have vastly higher budgets than us. It's only due to Moyes that we're anywhere near seeing that as 'the next level' before he arrived we'd largely had a decade where midtable obscurity was 'the next level'.

Changing managers while Kenwright is still in charge has way more likely negatives than positives imo.

Post something relevant or don't bother replying lad.

That was mightily relevant as it sounded just like you was parotting him. Hence the question.

It's a sore point right now, and most of us are sick of hearing it. We want to discuss tactics and getting up for the big games, not fawning about how Moyes is saving us despite lack of money.

It's not lack of money that loses these big games. It's excuses like your parotting that instils an inferiority-complex in the players.

Moyes made a mistake picking Neville last week, & the side then proceeded to stink the place out. Moyes was as cuplable as his team were.

We didn't lose last week due to some mythical inferiority complex, we were just ****e!

wtf has that got to do with what I posted?

In your own time....

It's got everything to do with what you posted: our lack of superiority-complex is a prime reason why we don't win these games.

Wigan wasn't the first time we "stunk the place out" in a very important match...but obviously you know this already.

Did you see Neville's defence splitting pass mate ?

Certainly did, he was awful.. Did you see the entire team do fk all at Wigan though?
Did you see how that compared to City which was the opposite. The difference between the two games was far more than Neville. Everyone let us down in the cup.

It had F all to do with what I posted, but you've obviously got nothing else, so we'll leave it there.
