Is that kiss goodbye to Moyes then? Who would you want if so?

moyes comments on his contract are all mind games . but im not sure wether they will back fire or not.

he could have already decided hes leaving or staying , but his comments basically say ' its all depending on if i get europe or not'. this could be a nudge/incentive to players to get them to really up there game to keep him here and get that euro place . but where this could backfire is players could very easily think to themselves 'well if hes not commited , then why should we be ?' and will themselves be looking to move on next season already instead of pushing for europe.
the fans themselves could also turn on him and then the team due to the lack of long term commitment.
imo the best thing for him to do was sign asap and say something like ' ive built a team , this is a great club , going places and i have a job to complete' ... raises expectations , boosts moral , creates stability and enhances aspirations .
failing that he should have said ' no ive had enough , i want something else' and atleast got his squad to take him out with a bang.
instead he has sat on the fence and caused doubt and concern. not a great move as far as im concerned and selfish. i just think after 11 years the fans and the club deserve a bit more honesty and respect.

Who do you want in-if Moyes leaves?

Being realistic like. This is probably the most likely it ever has looked that Moyes will leave the club at the end of the season, even if there is tangible success i.e., a Champions League qualification, Europa League qualification or an FA cup win. So I think this is the most relevant time to have a serious discussion on the matter. In my opinion Malky McKay is doing an outstanding job at Cardiff City, is a young, hungry and ambitious manager, who would definitely be interested in taking over at Everton. Michael Laudrup would be an ambitious appointment but I don't see that happening, Steve Clarke seems to be a shrewd operator but has Liverpool connections, mind you Mourinho was assistant coach at Barca at one point. Fingers crossed Moyes stays, but this is worth discussion.

I think the most likely appointment will be Martinez. Knows how to work on a severely reserved budget with limited resources and deserves a shot at a higher level club. Also, shouldn't cost too much to get - so ticks all the boxes for the board maybe not the fans. Worryingly there is a good chance they will promote from within though, already on the books no 'transfer fee' and know the restrictions.

I struggle with this question. I am a Moyes fan but not a fanatic. Everton are such a box of frogs as a club though who the hell knows who could succeed here.

So I vote Cheese on toast. In fact I might even give piece a chance.

Thats all I am saying.

I'd have to say Big Sam.

He proved at Bolton he can get a side into Europe on a shoestring, he knows this league inside out so we wouldn't have to worry about relegation and he knows how to get his teams playing direct effective football.

I think he'd thrive in the stability you get at GP and would do wonders for us. I'd say he's more than capable of getting us 5th-8th each season.

Not a bad attempt, but many of your popcorn kernels failed to burst.
