Tests on Findus beef lasagne have revealed that some of the ready meals were made entirely from horsemeat.

Findus analysed 18 of its beef lasagne products and found 11 meals contained between 60% and 100% horsemeat, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) said.

There is no evidence to suggest the horsemeat found in the Findus beef lasagne is a food safety risk, the FSA said.

However, the agency has ordered urgent tests on the lasagne for the veterinary drug phenylbutazone. Meat from animals treated with "bute" is not allowed to enter the food chain in Britain as it may pose a risk to human health.

Consumers who have purchased the ready meals - produced by French food supplier Comigel on behalf of Findus - have been advised by the FSA not to eat them and return them to the shop they were bought from.

Retail giant Tesco and discount chain Aldi have already withdrawn a range of ready meals produced by Comigel over fears they contained contaminated meat.

Findus UK has already started a full recall of its lasagne products. It withdrew its 320g, 360g and 500g lasagne meals from supermarket shelves as a precautionary measure earlier this week.

Eyes, lips and arseholes.

You see, I know that really already.
If I get a kebab after a night on the lash, I also know that the meat could also be anything as well..
You buy 25 frozen burgers for 13p, I'm not surprised if the meat content is suspect.
I know it's not the right attitude like.. But a 100% horse meat beef lasagne is a bit much..

I'm exactly the same me. I buy smart price sausages for a bbq because you get about 20 for a quid. They could be made from badge and stoat for all I care, they taste fine to me.

welcome to capitalism where shareholders demand profit profit profit for the next quarter. you keep going to the well for the same water it dries up so you have to make it up.

its the tip of the iceberg. venture capitalism makes people greedy

Thats the kind of attitude i like. If you're gonna eat meat then just eat meat, don't cry cause you might get one type of dead animal instead of another.

I probably eat cardboard and sawdust in my veggie burgers but as long as it tastes nice and wasn't once alive i don't care.

Think personally its the deception by these meat processing plants which, quite understandably is causing this public outcry.

Horse meat has been wildly sought after in scores of Countries close to our own for God knows how long.

Its the mindset of our relationship with that animal, its as if were eating my little pony or if have curried Fido in Korea it would

outrage us. Have to say i,ve eaten both and they were delicious.... *If you dont know hey*

Veggie burgers are 40% horse, 30% leather, 20% rabbit and 10% veggie crap.........enjoy
