.....the bottom line is that this fella wasn't very good. Likable and full of effort, but not very good. When a club is strapped for cash it needs to get the best from it's funds. Being cynical, big Denis was playing for a contract and there is always the risk that his all out approach would have softened within the comfort and luxury of a 3 year contract. I'm afraid he had to go.....

Time for another read of this, lids.

Reading that really does make me remember how sh*t we were in the first half of last season.
We've now replaced the likes of Bilyaletdinov, Saha, Rodwell, Drenthe and Stracqualursi with Mirallas, Jelavic, Gibson, Pienaar and Oviedo. Not too bad.

I didnt mind him. The fella wanted to succeed at Everton and he shown that with his performances.
Yes, he wasnt the most talented, but what he lacked in skill, he made up for in effort. His performance against City was one of the best ive seen in a long time.

Would you pass a medical but have other injury issues that could scupper any potential deal if this great club of ours decides it wants to pay your fee over a longer period of time?
