i am as annoyed as anyone. Forget behind the scenes we got 14 games or whatever to get behind this squad and make 4th place. We are all disappointed but have a serious chance here. We have an amazing record in the second half of the season and if we can pull that off again we will be there. i realise none of you miserable f*ckos will agree, but lets just get behind the boys and bring it home.

Going to be difficult mate with our run in:

Man United, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool all away, Man City at home.

i know - but if we dont do it now when will we ever? we need to get behind the lads and not let the frustration get to them

To be honest we had the hardest run in of all those around us. even with a couple of 30million pound signings would of been hard... were not out of it yet though... keep the faith.. those that had any anyway

Nobody will be happier than me if John Stones lashes one in the top corner on the final day to confirm our top 4 slot, but lets be honest, it's probably not going to happen. We've just let (yet another) tremendous opportunity to push the club forward slip through our fingers.

Appreciate the sentiment witchdoc and I'd like to think everyone will of course be 100% behind the team regardless of our dealings. But I simply can't hide my disappointment at the fact we have been presented with a great chance of 4th and we've done nothing to push our club forward. It's bitterly frustrating.

you're right mate and i feel exactly the same especially with the Fer thing but lets just get behind our squad at goodison saturday and get another 3 points and see where it takes us

Considering our run in and today's disappointment winning against Villa is hugely vital.

Be great to have a surge of optimism if we can get into 4th this weekend.

especially with the next 2 games. but if we are still there after 30 odd games we'll be buzzing and thats what it all about now

The 'hard' games aren't the issue guys, it's the easy games which we don't put to bed which are the problem for us.

Something which a striker or midfielder would have helped with.

We'll do alright in the big games, its the likes of Villa that are the potential banana skins that we have slipped up on too often this season. We should easily beat them but somehow you just know that its going to be a close game and we'll be our own worst enemy at times.

We usually get something in in January to kick start the second half push whether that be Donovan or Stracq or whatever. Last seaosn we bought well in January so had a great second half. This season we bought in the summer and had a good start. Its not rocket science, new signings boost confidence and provide competition. Even one loan would have added something but we oculdn't even sort that. We can only hope that Gibson and Mirallas getting extended runs (although it seems as though we're not even deserving of that) has a galvanising effect on the squad. If this squad gets to fourth after this debacle Moyes deserves a statue.

I'm really not looking forward to the rest of the season now. Yes I know it isn't going to result in relegation or anything, but I had hoped to actually achieve something for once.

All the clubs around us have strengthened, and I predict that we will finish below Liverpool. Even if we were 6 points clear with two games to go (highly unlikley), we still have to go to Anfield and Chelsea in our last two games, and I'm not confident in getting any points at either venue.
