...I wonder if the impending court case was also a contributing factor to us taking a hard line. I suppose it's all conjecture but it's still a downer. The unbelievable number of visitors to this thread reflects the expectancy and we can't help but feel a bit flat.
It'll always leave a scar and/or weakness to a joint/muscle. As said, if the defence you're making for the club was taken to it's obvious conclusion no player who ever had an injury in their career would be transferred to another unless the buying club got them for buttons. It's just not supportable as a viewpoint on what's happened here.Lol. No.A player can have an injury and make a full recovery, to the point where any medical examination would show no evidence of a predisposition to injury further down the line. When it comes to things like ankle and knee ligaments, damage to them can have a long lasting impact and can leave players more likely to experience difficulty in the future. It seems the club was not made aware of Leroy's knee issues other than being told he had experienced a knee injury. Whole different kettle of fish to discover he is now markedly more prone to injury.
This is a **** up really. Fer had surgery on his meniscus back in september, it was a recent injury. You'd think they'd be at least somewhat informed about that, enough to be hesitant about announcing that deal before a proper medical is done.

That's complete rubbish and you know it.I've just explained to you why certain injuries leave players more likely to experience injury problems in the long run than others, but you seem to have deliberately ignored it.It'll always leave a scar and/or weakness to a joint/muscle. No, the more accurate analogy would be someone who observed the roof being damaged putting in a bid for the house they thought was commensurate with its value (inclusive of what they thought the impact of that damage was), then making a new bid once they were in and had the advice of their surveyor to hand. In other words, the club put the cart before the horse. It was a completely arse about face affair. If I knew going into bidding for a house that it needed a new roof, I would make my bid based on that and it would be lower than market value. If I didn't know that the house needed a new roof and bid market value, but was then told during inspection it needed a new roof, I would negotiate a lower price. The seller would agree or disagree, and we would go from there. This isn't rocket surgery.
