Yeah spot on, I am finding it difficult to blame Everton for announcing "deal agreed subject to medical" it was both accurate and commonly done, it's just you don't see many other clubs failing at the medical stage

There is no way we are back in for Fer. It would look like we have panicked and gone back as a last resort. We will end up with someone daft like nzonzi.

You're making this up as you go along. Who told you that? What we KNOW is that there's concerns about the reoccurrence of an old injury that he obviously got over. Of course it's unreasonable for any club to ask another to drop the asking price 24 hours after they agreed a deal. Moyes, may I remind you, has been chasing Fer since 2009...he knew all about his comeback after injuries and was happy to make him his target. You can only deduce from all that that the club (limited for funds ) want to have another club off so close to the end of the window that they thought they had them by the bollocks. Well they didn't as we can see.

Obviously any player can get injured, but some have medical predispositions which make them more likely to encounter injury problems in the future. Why would any club want to pay the same amount for a medically fully fit player as a player with dodgy knees ? They wouldn't.Same reason why Diame is playing for West Ham instead of United, they turned him down because of his heart problems.

Nzonzi joined Stoke in the summer, he's been a key player for them.

Would have been a good signing for us.

On the basis of that assertion every deal for any player who'd ever had an injury would be subject to initial bid and then a subsequent lower bid after all medicals are completed because all old injuries CAN re-emerge. Your position is preposterous.

Have a bit of faith lads, just because the deal has hit a snag does not mean we can't still salvage this situation considering the only sticking point is the fee; we want Fer, Fer wants to come here and Twente want to sell. Someone will blink and we will get our man, it's just a question of whether it's our or their terms. Until then though save the fumes until the deal is confirmed to be off (and not by twitter or some other bollocks site mind) and keep things civil, we're all blues here so just because you disagree with someone does not mean you can question their loyalties or **** them off.

It's pretty well known that Lescott was kneecapped (or something to that effect) prior to signing for us, and often needed fluid draining from his knees in his time here and at City. Pretty sure I've seen quotes from Moyes/Lescott in the past saying other clubs looked but wouldn't take a chance on him, too.
