It was actually a bumper year for the theatres, because of the Olympics. An awful lot of people took the opportunity to visit the world reknown West End to catch a show while they were over here.

No it wasn't. It was the worst year for many years in the London theatres, and hotels. The Olympics was useless for many restaurants as well, hence assorted closures since the summer. A lot of BKs money is made from provincial tours , with cost cut versions of major, guaranteed popular shows. I was told a few years ago by a senior exec of One Nation that Bill K was almost single handedly responsible for many provincial theatres keeping open. BK made money from the provinces, not from his interests in London theatre. As soon as the paralympics was over, theatre bookings in the capital picked up. Bill runs a good company...his 'pension' is the fact that he owns a massive slice of 'Educating Rita' and a big share in the movie Stepping Out. There will be regular income for many years from these two titles.

OK thanks. Not what I heard, but you are clearly more informed than I.

(I'm not saying that in a condescending way either)

I don't get the deal with the horse? Surely it would be kept in stables anyway? If i bought my bird a horse doubt she'd keep it in the garden
Hey lads, if any of you want to buy me a horse then fear not ... I own a house ... I'll pop it in one of the guest rooms.

Well it took 1187 posts but finally someone else realizes she probably just didn't want a horse -- loads of people own horses and don't keep them on their own property.

That said I have NO idea why someone hasn't done up a photoshop where they added a horse to the picture of Fer, his super hot GF and his agent in that jet.

The horse is his agent.

You must live in an alternate reality mate.

Sorry lads, I mistook record box office sales to mean record takings. Plus it seems it was outside of the Olympic period. Anyhoo.

It seems they did ticket deals during the Olympics, so while they had record numbers through the doors, they never necessarilly profited to the same percentage.
