Where will the club be in 5 years time. I see no strategy.

If moyes decides to leave at the end of the season, everything will fall apart.
Kenright probably put round or stubbs in as manager and see how it goes.

Kenwright has been working towards the same thing for years. Selling the club for way more than he paid for it.

If we were to look for the best in Kenwright you could say that he has brought us stability and relative success compared to Johnson's era. Perhaps he was slightly reluctant to become the chairman but the showman in him and the fact that he had the best interests of the club at heart persuaded him? We've reached the champions' league as well as the fa cup final, we consistently finish in the top half of the table, we can compete with the big guns in a head to head and we have arguably our best side since the 80s and yet he still gets loads of grief from a section of the fans. I could understand why he would want to walk away. And why should he sell the club cheaply? I'm not 100% sure that money is the main issue in any case. He's going to want to ensure that the club is in safe hands and that the new owner wouldn't asset strip the club, mismanage it or load it with debt. I'm not Kenwright's biggest fan but he's done plenty of good for Everton.

.......fair summary, but I think a number of decisions have been made on his watch that have not left us strategically well placed.

I'm sure that there are issues with how the club is run. I think that Bill can be a bit sly but we've benefitted from it as a club. He understands football and he backs the manager to the hilt though. I'd much rather that than the situation at clubs such as Southampton, West Brom and Newcastle where managers are sacked on a whim.

So he doesn't want any new owners doing what he and his cronies have done.

Thanks Bill.

You see those 'achievements' are down to Moyes arent they. You could say they were down to Kenwright if he had given Moyes a significant transfer kitty and we paid top 6 wages, but he hasnt and we dont. The chairman can provide the funds by maximising income to the club - the stadium is exactly the same as when he took over, and our commercial deals are dreadful compared to similar clubs. The lines of communication with the fans are at an all time low, and there is no confidence that we have any forward thinking strategy at all.

His other main task was to bring in investment to the club, and the only time he has managed this, amazingly enough, was when his own position at the club needed shoring up, and he found a buyer for Gregg's shares. Not his own shares of course. It should be very easy to list, say, four or five of his achievements at Everton after all this time at the club? So feel free to have a try.

Johnson sold Ferguson just before he left so that there was money in the business that he could get back out. Bill has reinvested the majority of any transfer fees and put the rest towards debts. And he hasn't loaded the club with debt like Hicks & Gillette or the Glazers for his own gain.

If money was his main motivation there are much quicker and easier ways of going about it than running Everton. How are he and his investors ever going to see a return on what they've put in?

Wait, WHAT?

They paid 20m for the Club.

They havent paid any debts, they have all increased.
They havent spent any money on Goodison, bar the odd lick of paint.
They have "invested" ZERO money into the Club, ZERO, not a single penny.

Its "said" they want a return of 150m to "let go of the Club", not a bad return on 20m, you would say?

And lets not mention the Years and Years of free seats to every game, the free wine, the phone, the car and all the other perks there are to "running" a Premier League Club.

I look forward to your reply.
