Milner is supposedly unhappy at only starting 6 games out of 20 for City. I'd love to take him on loan but I'd be very surprised if they made him available.

Huddlestone is a good player when he's fit. If we're looking for someone to cover for Gibson's injury absences then we couldn't risk taking a player with such a poor record themselves.

I like Albrighton a lot but I don't think Moyes would have any more faith in him than he has in Barkley. If Villa would let Bent go I imagine that they'd want someone to pay 100% of his wages and that will probably be too rich for us.

AT THIS time of year most professional footballers have to forgo gourmand delights because a few extra pounds could mean the difference between holding or losing a place in the team. Adebayo Akinfenwa gave up worrying about such issues long ago.

Northampton Town’s striker — reputedly the heaviest professional player, goalkeepers aside, in the Football League — doesn’t just accept his weight. He delights in his substantial silhouette and markets it by serving as chief executive officer of the HaHa Brand clothing line.

Despite being only 5ft 11in, Akinfenwa tips the scales at 16st 7lb. That makes a robust trio of Premier League goalscoring luminaries in Kevin Nolan of West Ham (14st 2lb), Norwich’s Grant Holt (a mere 12st 13lb) and Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney (a round 13st) lightweights by comparison.
 
Could Moyes get the best out of Arshavin? On his day he is class and he could dovetail nicely with Pienaar off Jelavic and Fellaini. It's the sort of quality that Moyes has been looking out for in the final third and we couldn't ordinarily afford a player like that if they didn't come with baggage.
 
Looking at the recent accounts, I say we transfer our Bank manager, Accountants and Operations and commercial management out and bring in some more experience in.

I'd happily take him if he were played in his proper position, but he'd most likely end up stuck on the wing like he has been at Arsenal, where he's gash.
