"We are in a poor, poor situation"

the way it read to me was not that moyes was commenting specifically about forwards, or indeed the state of affairs at the club overall, but the paucity of options in the squad of players available to him at the moment, partly due to injuries & partly due to the lack of successful transfer activity to date, all exacerbated by the poor performance of the team in general & some individuals in particular - not including little leon, of course, he's ace!

I'll start worrying when DM actually comes and says on SSN that he's leaving, otherwise I'm just keep ignoring the half empty gobshites who decide to believe their own [Poor language removed]....:dodgy:

Agreed completely bud. Great post.

It's all on a turn of phrase, pushing on, moving forwards, kicking on, pushing forward.
The way it reads to me is frustration after making comments all pre season about pushing on and achieving moving to the next level, all the comments Moyes was making were about breaking into the top4, not how many strikers the club had, he would have used the word options had he meant that.
His hands are tied and I believe he has had enough now.

Jeeze you lot love a good weep.

Have a watch of the actual interview on EvertonTV ( I know it means giving £40 to the hated cabal but ho hum).

You will find that the Echo "article" is a travesty of reporting.

Get over yourselves.

even if the new contract isn't resolved, i don't think moyes would actually break his contract. however, as other managers are sacked duing the season we would probably see other clubs seeking permission from the board to approach moyes.

I'm quite sure he'll do the right thing and it'll be just a matter of time before he signs....But...

Successor to Fergie????
Isn't whiskey face leaving in a year or two???

Read the sentence carefully and you can see he means moutinho isn't top of list because hes not priority "not at the moment no" "we are poor going forward" meaning he wants a striker then moutinho.

Are you [Poor language removed] daft, the man clearly stated that the lack of numbers is a huge concern and then went on to qualify that by stating we are in a "poor, poor situation with regards to moving forward", not "we've got no options up front". The whole interview was basically centred around only being able to field 4 substitutes.

You've got to be on a wind-up you.

Well whatever is going to happen, or not happen. There is clear unrest in the camp, and the [Poor language removed] club needs to respond to allay any fears that we all have. It clearly isn't fair.

And I recommend we all email Ian Ross and demand to know what the fook is going on.

He can't ignore us all.

ffs

I emailed him before and he said that the manager has substantial funds.

Why on earth does everybody need to email him? Do you want him to say who we are signing? Or tell you that we really are [Poor language removed]?

I really dont know what you expect him to do, he is not in a position to clarify anything without the boards permission.

What's it got to do with you?
