Who? I'm interested...

Judging by history they'll be playing outside england. Porto bought Falcao for 2 million pounds, we snapped up Jelavic for very little. Newcastle bought Ba likewise for not a lot. Petric was on a free, Michu was like 1.5 million.

I don't have a worldwide scouting network so I can't name the names but england is never the cheapest place to buy quality players. I fully believe there's a gem playing second divison football in turkey who'll be cheap as chips.

Aduritz cost less than 3 million and he's got 8 in 10 for bilbao so far this season.

Pabon cost about the same and he's been a beast in south america.

Szalai and Hernandez both cost very little as well. Foriegn players are just cheaper.

I'd love Austin here but we won't be able to afford him.

Burnley will have to sell, but who to? I'd be quite surprised if the top 3 were interested in him, they've already got their superstar strikers.

So it goes to the next level, Everton, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal and Newcastle. None of them will be spending major money on him. He is within our price range IMO.

They sold Rodriguez to Saints for 8 million, Borini cost 10mil, Wolves sold Fletcher to Sunderland for 12m even Blackburn paid 8 for Rhodes. The likes of QPR, West Ham, Fulham, Villa and Stoke can all outspend us is the sad fact.

Atletico won the uefa cup just last year and Arsenal and Valencia have both won their countries leagues within the last decade.

Don't follow spanish footy but Arsenal won the league when they were paying top dollar for internationals not championship potential.

That wasn't your point - you said winning teams don't buy Championship players. Instead they go for van Persie, Aguero and Mata.

I was just pointing out that was a pile of crap.

And and... I didn't say let Vic go for £1-2m. I said put him towards the price of Austin, who I think is valued £6m+. So I valued Vic at closer to £4-5m.

So essentially you're talking complete crap AND putting words in my mouth. Good stuff.

So they didn't buy aguerro van persie and mata then?
Don't talk crap man and bore off.

United can afford that risk.
I said we can't afford to let a proven prem player in Vic plus cash go for an unproven championship player cos we are SKINT

No, you specifically said that winning teams don't buy players from the likes of Burnley, and that they only buy the ready mad elikes of top quality players like Van Persie and Aguero.

Thats wrong which is why you were pulled up on it. They might in the main go for proven top players but they still by plenty of unproven players from lower/foreign leagues if they think the potential is there.

Which is exactly what we would do if we bought this guy, same as we did with numerous other signings. You might not think Vic plus cash is a good deal and thats fair enough, but if Moyes thinks this guy is gonan be better than Vic then its the kind of sale we have to make.

Because we can't afford to go out and buy Van Persie and Aguero.

Just been talking to a Burnley fan in Maccies in town and he says he hates Liverpool and wants Austin to come to us if he has to go anywhere.

*orders Austin away shirt*

I didn't say they don't buy players from burnley i said they don't buy Burnley's no.9.
Winning teams want top quality proven center forwards that they know will get the goals to win titles and Austin atm is not in that bracket.
I agree they will go for potential, but not to start now as a general rule.If we get rid of Vic then we need a player that can play and succeed in the prem now.Potential for everton is people like vellios for a lot less money than austin.
Not only can we not afford van persie we can't afford Austin either
