A bit of perspective.....

Attack wise, this is the most excited I've been about our team in years. Fluent down both wings, Fellaini a good long ball release and not overplaying it and not afraid to take a chance to have a shot. We should have had that game dead and buried, the chances we created.

Defensively, the opposite. Perhaps it's the lack of a good shield in front of the defence but I'm not confident in our defence and it needs sorting. If I wasn't a blue, I'd have bet on a Fulham equaliser there, especially after the "come and attack us" Distin sub.

Perhaps concentration too, beginning and ending matches seems like an arduous task for us atm.

I'm still disappointed with the start. Obviously it's all well and good we're 4th, but we could and should be higher.

Dropping points the last 4 games, needlessly so. Sorry if I can't be happy with that.

Dunno. Not sure how anybody can be disappointed that we're fourth after 10 games. I mean we beat United at home, smashed Swansea 3-0 and were absolutely all over Villa. We were extremely unlucky not to get all three points at Newcastle, QPR was messed up by the red card which never was, which also impacted the derby (as did the ridiculous deflection off Baines for their first goal).

I can see being unhappy with individual performances, but considering our bad luck so far the position we're in is great.

The f*cking problem is instead of seeing a match, Moyes sees this...

Numbers are all well and good but when you have no feel for a match, well... We're past the point of playing percentages, David, it's not 2003.

if kenwright had died in may, and jenny had sold the club in the summer, we would be real challengers with a proper chairman.
sadly our chairman simply wont sell the club and would only consider it if he got a crazy price.
so in years to come, we will look back at the david moyes era as so close on the pitch, but ever so far in the boardroom.

Yeah but we'll win so it's fine mate x.

On a serious note, no chance Sunderland will beat us. They are BADLY gash.

Oh come on, you know its the fact that Sunderland are badly gash and can't score that means if anyone is gonna lose to them its gonna be us :D

Its the results in the next few games which will really determine the importance of the past 4 games. If we're still 4th comfortably then yeah we're doing enough. But if we lose a few, the teams below us win a few and we slip down to 7th then the fact we were 4th on November 3rd after dropping some stupid points means nothing.

No point judging the team based on the matches we might lose in the future though. That mindset gets you nowhere.

Sunderland haven't beaten us at Goodison in yonks have they ?

*cue 4-0 hammering by them*

We played sensationally. Absolutely no complaints from me. We had a bit of bad luck, but we had a bit of good luck against Liverpool.

Balances itself out.

For me, the performance drowns out the result. We're still on for a very, very good season.

This.

We are playing some of the best football in the league. Its the little things slipping us up.

If we play the same all season, id be happy

Most people with a brain should be able to see we are playing some cracking stuff, unfortunately a draw brings out the uber melts.

Thought we absolutely slaughtered them today. It's not often I'm confident, but I sense someone is going to get a bit of a beasting 4,5,6 soon.

Thats of course if we concede 4,5,6 first.

In seasons gone by people would have slaughtered Mr Moyes for the tactics he played and would have lost or at best drawn games.

Now we have players taking the game to the opposition at away grounds and Mr Moyes is still get an earful. What do people want?

However, we are doing and playing well, but we need to cut out stupid free kicks in our half and stop defenders thinking they are Roberto Carlos.
