This is pretty much how I still feel. I'm not saying we should all fume to eternity, but let's have it right, poorest team for a long while and we were 2-0 down within 20minutes. They bottled it as usual, then realised we actually have a good team. Within a flash it was 2-2 like it was easy, and what did we do then? Nothing.

I'll take the point over nothing, but once again, not good enough.

Can't disagree with any of this......

Don't underestimate the impact of having to replace Mirrallas for Gueye, went from our best player to our worst player in the same position with one overlooked stamp. We struggled to make that much after that, not because we bottled it but more because losing Gibson, Mirrallas, Pienaar and having a recovering Fellaini was too much to lose for us in a derby.
That we drew is still a decent result in the circumstances. We lost 3 of our regular players and Felli looked like he was a player coming back from injury at times.

Excellent post and 100% agree.

I'd also say they found themselves 2-0 up from a lucky deflection and a set piece defended poorly by us. We didn't bottle it and tbh I was amazed they were 2-0 up. I always felt we'd come back and until mirallas went off thought we'd win... Liverpool were about to bottle it.

Whatever the result, whatever the truth concerning if we'v bottled it before... That game yesterday was the end of our players worrying about Liverpool.

If we have a full side I'm 100% confident we will do them at anfield. Which to be fair Iv never honestly believed that before!

The way he ran up the pitch to the RS supporters was almost as fast as he ran out of the club after headbutting a dj and chinning a random fat bloke.
