PES 2013

My PES 2013 arrived in this week's mail from home, and I'm loving it so far. The Spanish stadiums are ace - if only they'd do the English and/or German top flight in full, too.

Has anyone nailed that new "knuckle shot" yet? I must have spunked half an hour in training mode last night trying to do it, and only twice was I successful! I'm not complaining, as if it was easy to pull of these special/signature shots/moves it'd be like a procession (and play a shallow game like FIFA), but I found this one really, really tough to master.

The only player with relatively good stats is Baines. Distin is alright as a defender. Jelavic, Mirallas, Pienaar, Fellaini, Gibson and Jagielka are all very underrated. If you look at other players' stats in other clubs then you would realize Konami is clueless. They even give Rodwell a stats boost in todays update since he has joined Man City. When a good player like Pienaar rejoins us, Konami downgrade his stats even Pienaar has 10 assists in 21 games.

Jags's stats are ****e (They just made him even worse defensively in the latest datapack). Konami think Everton is crap. Facts.

Again your just going off overall rating?? Or at best you are having a quick flick through attributes and comparing against other teams???

What I don't think you are doing is taking into consideration "player index cards" - "form" and No offence ment here mate but the attributes that actually matter.

I have played with Everton on previous versions as well as this one and tbf we have always been good on it in general. Sure there are players who should be better (jelavic) but there has also been players too good (Cahill). By not looking at stats and just playing games with PL teams I would say they have us spot on.. We're far better to play with than qpr newcastle's ect.. But not as good as city utd ect..

As for Rodwell's stat boost going city... Great! Had him in my MLO team and he's worth more cash now can sell him on to buy fellaini!!

I'd say its harder to master but twice as rewarding once you do.
It's more like real football
A lot more styles and ways to play tactically that can make or break you.
In general you don't score the same way over and over as u do in FIFA.
And in this new version the total freedom on the ball and passing/shooting is sublime.

If you want out of the box fun easy to play with all the sky trimmings FIFA is exceptional.

If you wanna get more out of a computer game of football on the pitch, feeling like u have earned it but sacrificing all the trimmings off the pitch... Then pro Evo is the one for you.
 
In my Master league on line team Iv just finished building my first team... Ie all the default players have gone and replaced with better players to help me win more and build money. It's now time to replace that team with better...

Original idea was to build ultimate Everton team.. Ie bringing in or back should I say the likes of lescott Arteta and Rooney to complement our current crop. May well struggle against the top top players tho with the likes of messi...

Should I go with original idea or maybe go down a merseyside route... Allowing me to mix it up and be able to use the likes of Torres Alonso reina ect????
 

Yeah they have real player names.

Still don't have licence for team names kits ect. Think they have all of la liga now and other foreign leagues but PL is confined to man utd and maybe 1 or 2 more!

Takes 10 mins in the editor to change team names to being correct. And if u wanted you can get option files that put all the sponsors on shirts ect.

Not something that overly bothers me the licence issues with pro tbh. However I magine it bothers some people a lot.

But you do realize how crap is Gibson mate (in the game)? And I am not talking about overall rating. How on earth Dawson's defence is 84, Dunne 85 and Coloccini 87 while Jagielka's defence is now down to 82?

I think they don't give a hack about Everton. Whoever left Everton to go those so-called big guns then they would receive stats boost. In the contrary, PES keeps downgrading Everton players such as Piennar, who has made a huge difference to the attack of Everton since he returned from Spurs (21 league apps, 5 goals and 10 assists since his return). Nevertheless, Pienaar’s stats (Attack, Response and Speed) are downgraded once he left Spurs.

Jelavic's stats is awful if you compare it with Ba and Ciise. That Swede kid in Man City reserve has better stats than Jelavic.

Everton is rated at 14th in the English league. Terrible terrible although I agree that this is a much better game than FIFA.

I totally get what ur saying mate and do agree to a certain extent. My point is that the stats ain't always a reflection on the player being good/bad. I'm not saying that's right but say pienaar for example whatever his stats may say... He's brilliant when u have him in your team. I have players in my online team with ratings of 68/69 who are brilliant! I have had players with 85 ratings great stats and are ineffective and poor.

I don't know maybe the stats have to be toned down on some players in order to keep them in some sort of order of effectiveness/ability. Jelavic is absolutely deadly in the box and winning balls, yet his speed makes him a very unlikely addition to my team.

Like I say I really do see your point but I tend to ignore the stats a little and focus on the type of player they are in real life which tends to be pretty spot on whether the stats align or not!

I see what you mean. How would you line-up the Everton team in the game?

Just found an ace patch for the PS3 users (works well with official DLC 2.0 I try it myself). Has Goodison Park in it too.
