The Best Chippy in Liverpool?

Used to be John's chippy on Rice Lane Walton opposite the old Dunlop factory just beyond Walton Hospital (60s/70s era).

He only opened for a couple of hours at lunchtime and early evening and gave the smallest portions but can honestly say never been matched anywhere.

I reckon he used to sacrifice virgins to the gods in the backroom to get his chips that good.

I used to love The Bronte in Crosby opposite civic Hall... gone now, and I still mourn it's loss.

It's actually a Chinese takeaway now called Maicee, run by the guy who used to run Tsosan on South road...

Still miss the Bronte's fish and chips though. And the spitfires.

:-O
