Apostolos Vellios will leave Everton on a season long loan dependent on the club signing a certain striker..
 

Oh yeah, quick note on that Moyes interview, which is on the OS btw.

The comments about Pienaar/Naismith and being happy with numbers etc actually came from separate parts of the interview. The way it has been quoted is very misleading, and seeing it first hand it definately suggests that he is happy to have got them in, but wants to more "at least". However there were other comments that suggested he would be happy going into the season with the current squad size, so take that as you will.

i think everyone is overrating mirallas based of his youtube vids. why would arsenal buy an unproven player who plays a position(s) they that dont need to fill. they are not going to buy him as a striker as a back up. they will go for someone a little more proven.

also he has said he wants to play every week, is also friends with fellaini.

he might well go to arsenal but it will be in a few years once he proves himself with us

Can't be. Niang is only 17, you don't hang your hat on a teenager as a striker in the Premier League.

I think it's an encouraging sign that a striker of some sort is on the way in.
 
Its annoying because a signing like this, all officially announced with a yellow SSN bar & scarf holding photos on the clubs website, would have lifted the spirits massively for the start of the season. However he wouldn't have played against United and he might be introduced to the crowd at the game anyway (hopefully his only similarity to Big tits Beattie).
I'm still believing the OP, I reckon he's agreed terms, wants to come & just needs his medical. Olympiakos haven't heard **** because we're paying the release clause in his contract.
