12/13 Home Kit

Wasn't sure on the home kit, but I love it (with the white shorts but not with the blue!!) after seeing it at Goodison against AEK

Order my home kit two weeks ago. Usually came within five days in the past, but I still don't have.

I WANT MY HOME KIT!

Giving this a bump because I want to have a moan.

I live down South and have been to every sports shop, which include several specialist Nike shops, in both of the major shopping centres down here (Bluewater & Stratford) and I have yet to find the new kit in any of them. The same also happened in many sports shops in central london including one that stocked the shirts of teams such as Blackburn, Ipswich, Derby and Huddersfield.

Now I understand that some shops down here might not want to stock the kit of a merseyside team, and especially one that hasn't played in Europe for 3 years. Also I know that there are not many blues down here to buy the shirts, and I know that the general consensus amongst football fans down here is that we are not a big club.

However, I thought one of the main benefits of this kit deal would be that there would be a wider distribution of merchandise. And it seems like either the club are excluding their southern fans by not making sure they are available down here (not that the club have much control over that) or the shops are mugging the club off by not stocking the shirts.

I just think its a bit off that shops fail to stock the club shirt of a top 7 premier league club sponsored by the biggest sports brands in the world.

The kit is only available in Everton One, Everton Two, the Nike store in Liverpool and the Nike store in London.

Distribution rests with Kitbag.

I don't know about the Nike store in Liverpool but you're wrong about Niketown in London - the main Nike shop in London. I was in there 2 weeks ago looking for the new shirts, not a sniff of anything Everton related, lots of other teams though, including Man City bizarrely. I also went over to Nike's new shop at Statford that was built by the Olympic Park, no Everton gear in there, either

The bloke above makes a fair point but it's no use moaning and I live down here in London myself, we all know the deal. Everton have an exclusivity contract with Kitbag meaning the shirts are simply not sold anywhere other than online and at Everton club shops locally

I recently bought the new home shirt online and it arrived within a couple of days no problems. Fantastic shirt

At the end of the day people are put off buying online when they see the cost of the postage, not being able to try it on and the increased cost of the shirts.

If I was afar there is no way on earth that I would lay out so much not knowing if it is the right size or anything, for the perfect example please see Evertonized, who apparently is even happy to buy his wallpaper online having not even viewed the pattern.

So...

My LS home kit finally came. And I must say, the jury is still out. I thought I would be more impressed with it, but it just looks wrong. It doesn't have the same class as last years kit. The only positive thing over Le Coq is that the badge is stitched a lot better.

Paul Tyrrell said on twitter that the kit would definitely be available in the main London Nike store
