How come ?

We've cut over £160k a week off the wage bill by my reckoning, and sold a player for £12m. The fee being suggested for these two is no more than £6m each.

I'm with Brennan on this one.

I was under the impression that Moyes is only going to get about £6-£8m of the Rodwell money to spend.

If we spent more or less all of the down payment for Rodwell then that doesn't leave much left for Barclays.

Or have the banks eased off?

I think Niang will only cost a few million up front mate, with the rest being add-ons and the like to minimise risk.

I'm speculating of course but his club have just been relegated and he is 17 after all.

I hope you're right. I just tend to look at any transfer rumour with a bit of skepticism, that way I can't be disappointed too much.

I'd imagine the Arteta money has been turned in to champagne and guzzled down at Barclays latest shareholders meetings and the Yobo and Cahill money used to fund Pienaar and Naismith.

As edge said who knows with Everton.

I really haven't seen anything of this kid but 'world class potential' has me intrigued, shorty's comments sound promising too so if anyone who's seen a fair bit of him wouldn't mind giving me the rundown like i'd be grateful.

i look forward to use signing him, not playing him, finding a way to start neville in front of him, periodically destroying him with one on one coaching sessions with stubbs, moyes sees him every day lad

in all seriousness though credit were its due if moyes an the club pull this one off, it'll be a bonafied coup

LCAB and others have said the banks are chilling out at the moment.

didnt the everton press officer tell city sport that moyes is getting all the rodwell money

Sounds promising then. I was away last week and didn't get online at all so I was out of the loop so to speak.

Does this mean that Heitinga is definitely staying? I haven't heard much in the way of that one.

In 2020 he scored 55 goals for Blackburn:
