According to Swedish papers he's valued somewhere in the area £6-8M... and with the inflated market I think Birmingham will hold out for that figure or something close to it. He's young and since he hasn't been playing for long in a bigger club I don't think his salary is that high either, so Birmingham might be able to afford to pay his wage in the Championship for a season and hope for a PL spot 09/10 again.

Haha, may be but the problem is does he want to play in the Championship for a season or carry on playing in the Premier League next season?

What about Mauro Zarate? If we're looking at Birmingham. McLeish admits he's too good for them, good enough for us? Arsenal thinking about it. Only 21, but some mad pricing.

I know his parent club is saying they are looking for £20M or something but then there is an article saying he did go for £10m at the end, I did love him around as I have said so not long ago.

He also give us a different option when taking direct free-kick.

he is the pick of the lot at birmingham but i don't think moyes will be breaking our transfer record this off season. To be honest i thought we might be able to get the others a bit cheaper, i was thinking 4 mill would be the most we would have to shell out for larsson. If they want 8 for larsson, i'd say it would be crazy not to put in 2 mill more and go for zarate. He reminds me a bit of Arsharvin, what is the price tag on his head??? I guess wages would be the prob with him.

I think any player would prefer to play in the PL, but AJ for one gave CP a year in the championship before he left them. And even if the player wants to play in the PL, he is still under contract with Birmingham, and if they set a pricetag that noone wants to match... the player stays no matter what.

Haha, first i bet you he has a minimum release fees clause in his contract or relagated release clause, second if he does not want to play in Championship and decide not to put any effort in matches what's the point of keeping a player does not want to play in lower league?

Not sure he do have a release clause when he signed they were in the championship I think (not sure here, could be wrong)

Second: If he did stay and if he decided to not play.... would you sign him up for us then? Undertrained and unfit matchwise, and having shown a bad professionalism by refusing to honor his contract to get his will through? I wouldn't.

Larsson is one hell of a player.

As for the other 2, a camel and a defensive midfielder who can't pass a ball.

None of them are really good enough. We've been linked with Muamba before, while he was on-loan at Birmingham. None of them have shown enough to be considered potential signings. And, if you're paying £8m for Larsson, it better be a 27 year-old Henrik, not Sebastian...
