I think Anichebe has a better goalscoring record. Just never been a fan. Has talent but very inconsistant.

this is true but then he has been playing for wigan, any striker will have a poor record there, he strikes me as the kind of striker who would fit in brilliantly at a much better team like ours, he impresses me a lot of the time, simply though if he was scoring those fantastic goals all the time he would be world class rated and would be getting better teams than us.

Not sure about this - Mandzukic is obviously the main man for Croatia and didn't seem to dovetail very much with Jelavic. I would be happy if we got him though. I'm sure Moyes would work on their link-up play to make more use of Jela.

after watching the group stage of euro, i was far more impressed with the ukrainian, Yarmolenko than mandzukic.
 

Mandzukic has got PL flop written all over him. No evidence to base that on.. Just gut feeling some west ham type will pay close to 10M for him and he'll be a flop!

As for us moyes only plays with 1 striker. Any additional strikers we add will be cheap/free/loan types who will spend most of the time on the bench.

I'd take rodellaga based on the above. Could also be back up for the RW... when we buy an actual RW..
 
Mandzukic scored the same amount of goals in 2011-12 Bundesliga as Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery (12).

Mandzukic supplied 8 assists in 2011-12 Bundesliga, the same as United new boy Shinji Kagawa.

Only Robert Lewandowski averaged more shots per game than Mandzukic did in 2011-12 Bundesliga. Lewandowski averaged 3.5, Mandzukic 3.2.

Mandzukic averaged 3.5 aerial duels won per game during 2011-12 Bundesliga, third highest overall.

But yes, he has PL flop written all over him. If West Ham sign him, I'll eat my hat (spoiler: I don't have a hat). He's far too good for them.

The only real fault in Mandzukic's game I've noticed when watching him play is that he can't cross to save his life. This worries me considering Moyes' history of sticking creative players out on the wing.
 
i don't think we need him we have Jelavic , money should be spent for midfield and the defence
get peanuts in and try keep what we have
