Truly awful in my very humble opinion, I never get how people dance to this type of stuff. Eric Prydz played a 1hr.30min set at WHP over easter and that reminded me of it. people were mostly stood watching, waiting for it to get going, suppose that's the point tho eh?

I've never been able to get into any of this sort of stuff even though some of my mates love it.

Different folks like different stuff though mate, i still like scouse house haha no MCing though biddabiddabiddabidda, i also like southern rock, bluegrass, rap, soul etc

Is right. Much easier to get into this stuff if you're out in Liverpool, like. Purely for that setting though. Not for listening to on the ipod, really. I love it which is why I spent a couple of hundred on a creamfields ticket. Won't be seeing Guetta though. No chance. He used to be quite a bit better but the stuff he's on now is uber-gash even if he will cut a lot of that out for his creamfields set.

I went into a club a bit like that before. Not full of cybergoths but playing this sort of music. I literally stood there gurning my tits off, sweating like a ****ing maniac and stomping my feet staring at a wall. Horrific.

Actually Cena I'm not at all snobby about dance/house.

For the most part it's not my thing, but it serves a purpose. You don't really want to be listening to an introspective folk song in a nightclub!

Plus there's certain bands I absolutely love who incorporate/have incorporated dance elements (Bloc Party, Delphic, Friendly Fires).



Also loving Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs at the moment, and you could probably call them house.

Not hugely different. There's a bit of crossover, you used to get the cybergoth kinda stuff in the main room and this in the second room at clubs like Antiworld, although that's going back a bit. The cybergoth stuff sounds trancier and has more synths in it and sounds more digitally produced, rather than screeching 303's and clanking beats like this. This stuff is free party/squat party music.
