2025/26 David Moyes

I seem to have triggered everyone of the deluded Moyes haters.
Moyes still yout manager and living rent free in your head
Good job this forum is not representative of the wider fan base.
Jeez hate to think of the reaction had we lost. 😆
It's embarrassing that I support the same club that comes up with "Moyes haters" but we had to go through it with "Dyche haters" comments.

Standards supporting Everton are rock bottom.

4 to be precise in 11 years.

A new manager with the same squad gets us in Europe this season, at a time its never been easier to get there.

Give me a new manager and no new players over the same manager and new players.

I personally don't see it. Centre halves, full backs and forwards are real issues. Obviously it's not a scenario that will happen but the same squad with a new manager next season while others have kicked would not be great for us.

He ultimately did a fine job first time around considering the resources given to him. He's just not the top level as shown by his tenure at Man Utd

And the one with the resources was applauded at the ground for it. Maintaining the small time mentality that still lingers to this day.

The sad thing is I want the fella to do well, Hes our manager and it’s in all our interests he does as well as possible. His attitude at times makes it difficult to back him. The way he talks about the club at times. I grew tired of it the last time he was here.

I think it would be an over achievement to qualify for Europe this season given the squad but to find ourselves in the fight and fritter away so many points is disappointing. Moyes being cautious doesn’t help on the face of it but being more adventurous with the current squad doesn’t necessarily mean more points given more defeats could have followed with a more adventurous approach

Totally agree, would have been an even more over achievement if we got past the 3rd round in both cups.

I would be delighted, would be good to see an Everton team on the front foot and playing attacking football compared to the Jurassic Park Managers of Dyche and Moyes.
We're overdue an exciting style, that's for sure
Each time we went ahead we sat back today
Its tiring, even though I have enjoyed not thinking about relegation

The idea we play adventurous football with Keane and Tarkowski pushing up to the half way line and don't get caught out is optimistic.

Yeah I can take criticism of any manager and think some of the criticisms of Moyes are fully justified, but I will not take seriously anyone who was going in to bat for the abysmal former manager as if their lives depended on it and is now all of a sudden trying to set the expectation levels. You all showed your hand when you accepted 34 points and 17th place as the benchmark and harangued anyone who thought it wasn’t good enough. They’re your ambitions.
