I’m not pro or anti Moyes currently. His tenure for me is very much in the balance.

I personally would sign Grealish and George. I’ve liked what I’ve seen from Rohl from the off - injuries need to be taken into consideration but I’m hopeful perhaps Moyes has integrated him slowly to bring him up to the pace and demands of the league.

I do think if we could get some quality full backs in, it should revolutionise this team.

It’s hard to imagine but if we could just get the recruitment right in the summer, with the players we picked up last summer in Rohl, Dibling and Aznou a year more developed and hopefully integrated then I really would go into next season feeling position about the squad in place.

Then there’s the question of whether the manager is the right manager in place to get the most from them. Time will tell.

Soucek wouldn't be a popular signing but look at how the team played in last seasons run in with Doucoure playing. Not pleasing to the eye but effective in breaking the passing rhythm of opposition midfield and pressing their defenders. Soucek plays a similar game.

Doucoure unlike Soucek still had excellent mobility covering a lot of ground and could be quick despite not being able to pass a ball to someone a couple feet away

That’s OK.
Dave The Destroyer of Football is not bothered by such trivialities once he has made his mind up.
He’ll end up on the right wing more often than not anyway so he can still shoehorn O’Brien in the team.

Thought he fell out with lampard didnt really have good form under him was only when dyche came in he did come into some form for us

It appears to me like we'll have Rohl (done), Grealish and George in on permanents.

That ticks off the wide positiions.

Need 2 full backs at minimum after that, go for the best money can buy.

George maybe but dont think the club will buy grealish unless is a reduced fee, if anything be another loan. Disagree with the wide positions as we do need another still dont have pace on the wings. Club could bring in another winger who can play out wide and as a cf

It's the least Lampard can do imo. McNeil, Patterson and Barry for £30m.

Great run, I’m not denying that at all. I just think we need to move away from being such a patchy, up-and-down team with patchy, up-and-down players, which Doucore was.

He scored some important goals for us and as I said did well to block channels and break up opposition midfield rhythm. As someone else posted his passing was pretty poor but overall was a productive player. However unfashionable his type of player is there is a place for them.
