Ironically the tactic that Beto would thrive in.
…..problem is, he lacks the quality to help enable that but he is best with balls played in behind central defenders.

A focal point of sorts. It's not like we're going to be playing carpet football with lots of off the ball movement is it now?Why though? What will he offer the team?
"Speaking in Friday's pre-match press conference, boss David Moyes, who will take charge of his 750th game in top-flight English football on Saturday, said: "Beto has concussion and will miss this week's game."Beto has been cleared to play against West Ham, so he should feature.
I'd have coached some kind of attacking up front play months back into Charly, as i clearly stated on here at the time. Has a brain for attacking movement / positioning and has an eye on goal unlike our main strikers. Shame we have players similar to the role Charly was signed for but feel this lad has some flair for a through the middle role even if it's a tactical ground to chest game play. Just my thoughts! He won’t win much in the air but I’d back Alcaraz control and link up play and pressing over Barry any day tbh
If we can play to feet or even chest I’d have him over Barry no problem
he can't start with Barry surely? Be interesting to seeI reckon Moyes thought the same, he was starting to try and use him more before his last injury and with both Beto and Barry misfiring at that time I think he was close to trying it. Thankfully Beto has had a great month but with him out I really can’t be doing watching Barry again he’s just soul destroyingI'd have coached some kind of attacking up front play months back into Charly, as i clearly stated on here at the time. He prefers his balls thrust deep in behind?…..problem is, he lacks the quality to help enable that but he is best with balls played in behind central defenders.
I think the majority of us have been doing that all season and he keeps throwing it in our faces.Just a thought but how about we actually try to get behind the lad and encourage him?
