2025/26 David Moyes

I don't know what catcher is classing as it, but I'd say if you're in with a shout of Europe with a few games to go regularly, that's decent.

We had a load of 7th's and 8ths and an 11th and 17th...at a time when Europe just meant about 5 places at most - it wasn't 'regularly' close to qualifying.

How isn't regularly finishing 7th not regularly being close to qualifying. You're also not listing how many points we missed it by either.

Listen, couldn't care less really on this discussion, I am just trying to help you read peoples sentences better that's all.

What it does in reality is underline how far Moyes has fallen when the talk is about 10th now being good enough for him to get an extension here or even his contract honoured.

He's a bad penny that's turned up again and he should just GTF back to Scotland.

Both Vinny Grappa and Tony Campari say Moyes is a shoe-in for Hibs if his contract ends at Everton…be careful what you wish for.

This is a big reason why you cannot be taken seriously on the subject of Moyes. You are completely biased and cannot offer any serious balanced argument.

You banged on about Dyche doing his best with this team, it is more or less the same. Yet a jump of 7 positions from where you were expecting/happy for a Dyche team to finish is not good enough for you? He would win the league and you would pout and call him names, trying to justify why it isn't good enough.

I am not sure how to take the last sentence, is it xenophobic or not? I mean, would you be OK with him living in England after he is gone, or does it have to be a 'Go back to where you came from?' ;)

Ha Ha Ha Ha.

'More or less the same team as Dyche had'...apart from the addition of £110M worth of players and the massive wages to land Grealish....which currently with 5 games left has us one point less than Dyche managed in our points deduction season when the team were utterly ravaged by doubt over the club's status and rudderless off the pitch.

This was his record with us btw, if ever curious, I would call that regularly being around European places wouldn't you?

Its a fair record but it confirms my feelings all those years ago that he stayed on too long and we needed change.

Its nice to be talking Europe with 10 of our starting 11 at the weekend a part of Dyches team that Dave was happy with finishing 17th.

The word sthat @catcherintherye used is 'regularly closest'. Regular means routine or normal.

Is qualification or 'near qualification' normal for us under Moyes?

He said "which manager has had us closest to qualifying for Europe regularly etc." which I have just shown you is Moyes, unless you can provide a manager who did it more regularly?

Starting to think you just don't know how to read.

Well yeah that sort of matters in this argument doesn’t it. Dyche with 5 games left of that season had about 35 points. Also out of the players that have started the last 3 games, only one (Dewsbury-Hall) was a new addition from Dyche’s team.

Maybe the manager should start playing more of the players we bought to improve the squad rather than ones that had us in multiple relegation battles.

It’s great for the long term future of Everton that we’re getting a bit more out of McNeil, Gueye, Tarkwoski Keane Beto and Mykolenko

Just don’t mention the 100 mill plus on players who now can’t get in ahead of that lot.
