2025/26 David Moyes

We were not perennial derby bottlers until Moyes got his hands on us first time. Yes, out record was not great in them compared to theirs. But we were not bottlers. Moyes has created this problem that has been endemic in the club for over 20 years now.

Not saying he should go, amd overall he has done well. But he is, and always has been a bottler.
He plays 4-5-1 home or away. Never changes. He concedes possession and tries to pinch a win. Playing like that he'll win games you don't expect us to win and lose games we expect to win. Overall we'll end up somewhere mid-table. Personally I don't think thats good enough for Everton Football Club but I appreciate that some fans are happy with that as they have never experienced what we could/should be.

He seems to be a far suprior coach whose players are sold from under him.

Someone like that could coach a team if the club was wealthy enough and in a position to hold onto players.

Rayan & Jimenez both 20 i think, thats his right flank.

Kroupi and that Serbian 18 year old centre back.

He can coach and build something.
He’s going back to the team he played for and supports.

"Let Moyes get a few players in over the summer"

Like Rohl, Aznou, Alcaraz, Barry & Dibling who for different reasons are disasters under this manager.

We know he'll sign 30 year old Grealish and will want another with a KDH profile e.g Delap.

its frightening as we see no progression.
The problem is that none of those players you mention are actually any good. Our only good signings last summer were Grealish until his injury, and Dewsbury-Hall who has been excellent

It's very clear at this point we didn't get the players the manager really wanted and we had to make do with players way down the list. Our recruitment last summer was as bad as any of the previous windows.

So don't leave the guy who was in charge of transfers, Moyes running the club. Keep hearing Moyes will make steady progress but reality is if you throw £100m up the wall every summer you will soon start going backwards.

For me bottling it is when you're up against a team that you should beat that aren't as good as you. They're always above us in the league - even this season. Rather than bottling, can't we just accept they are better?

That'd have some credibility if they hadn't been beaten by Palace, Brentford, Forest, B'mouth. Wolves and Brighton.
