Were those $60 tickets they made available? Though it says something about football when we consider that cheap to sit and watch a football game.
Those tickets were likely introduced after a backlash due to the fact that Infantino's dream of a bigger WC means there are few more countries participating where $60 is a huge sum of money for the average fan there. It didn't sit very well with his constant self eulogizing football for all act.
Unfortunately for Infantino he couldn't very well have budget options for some countries, and the biggest price he can get for others. Hence every nation gets a small pool of of those tickets - 10% of all available or something.
Don't for one split second believe there is
anything to thank him for. He embodies everything wrong not just with football but sport as a whole. The fact that a small minority of fans have been able to get discounted tickets will keep him up more at night than any number of dead slaves or local populations rode roughshod over.
